Yeah, I've noticed the huge marginal difference in the rating of big men in this game probably within the first hour of playing it lol. I'm not sure if they've literally just crunched player statistics in order to determine the card ratings, but if so, that's definitely not a good idea. For instance, like the discussion on Pip, GOOD defense isn't always based on RPG and SPG. Some smothering defenders lock up the opponent by always staying in front of him, forcing tough shots and closing out passing lanes. So they may average less steals compared to another defender who gambles on stealing passes, but gets 15+ points racked up on him every game.

Well I don't think it is based on their PPG/RPG,etc per se, but based on the rating the console/2k developers gave the players, like a 90 (out of 99) 3 pter skill, or a 95 Dunk, or 35 Standing Dunk etc. But I do think that the way they crunched the numbers together didn't do justice for a lot of guys (on top of possibly weird console numbers but that's a different story).

If Yao got to start his career in the NBA and didn't get derailed by injuries he coulda been legendary. The guy was really skilled for someone so big. Mullen is the guy who like doesn't fit legendary in any way shape or form though. I guess maybe Yao would have only been an epic though consider Dirk is only an epic (so far). I do hope they somehow get a Jazz rivalry so they can at least finally do some justice for stockton (how is he NOT a legendary?)

lmao! Stockton was my 2nd or 3rd Epic I ever pulled and that's EXACTLY the first thing that came to mind. Ummmm...#1 all-time assists in NBA HISTORY?

Cp3, Melo are fine being legendary, Melo being a borderline legendary. Howard should be epic.

Well, a lot of really great players would not have a lot of rings in the 90s cause of a certain team heh. But yeah it's pretty messed up in that regard. I haven't played the myteam mode in the actual console at all, but I know there are like rarities for players there too. Is the card gaming matching those or something? Any know?

Number 1 in both ASSISTS and STEALS (all time).
The good thing about him being an epic is he is relatively easier to draft. I have one, now if I could only just get a duplicate. :-)

I think that Jason Kidd is supposed to be him like as his last year as a player and retiring somehow a NJ Net or something though. It's not prime Jason Kidd. By the end of his career he might have been a "rare".
