Sadly I highly doubt this is correct. Random chance is strictly that: random. It's human nature for us to try to create patterns or theories based off our personal experiences, but 99% of the time it's nothing more than random chance. I did have one question recently for a dev about something similar, but ultimately it really came down to just random luck.

The good thing is that it seems like they're trying to cut down on the luck factor as much as possible, starting with the revamped Rivals rewards

You are correct, it is human nature rationalize or create theories, but I find it hard to believe that it is completely random. The developers must have thrown in numbers of their own, so we don't receive an epic at the same rate as a rare, or an epic at the same rate as a legendary. That's why i think theories are worthwhile in most cases as this

Has anyone else experienced a slight epic drought since the event ended? I picked 4 in two days and one legendary during the course of the entire event but that might have been because of the sheer number of wins I gathered.

Yeah, I went a little past that.

Has anyone else experienced a slight epic drought since the event ended? I picked 4 in two days and one legendary during the course of the entire event but that might have been because of the sheer number of wins I gathered.

I had been averaging one about every 950-1000 picks but went 1500 or so between the last one and Mutombo.

I have to agree with the theory , I received 2 epics in my first 1800 games, bought 5 packs , at 11k games now and have never gotten another epic or legendary , that's 9k games , about 17k picks with no epics or legendary , or maybe it is just luck and I'm on the wrong end of it.

I went over 4000 picks since last epic than i bought 1 and ur telling me those 4000 picks mean nothing now? Its been another 1000 picks since i bought the epic now

Just drafted an epic earlier today, actually. My last one was either near the end of or shortly after the rivals event (I want to say the former). Either way, I believe it was less than 1000 picks ago. My last epic before those two was several weeks (and several thousand picks) before rivals started.

Not that it matters. Got 6 epics now (all drafted, and no legends fwiw), and none of them are in my season lineup.
