This is what separates a bad company from a great one. CD is so short sighted that even IF they revert to the old rewards, some people may not come back to the app. It's this thing called customer retention and customer loyalty that they're willing to sacrifice $$$ in the long term. Instead of building consumer confidence and taking constructive feedback, they decide to go for $$$. Maybe it'll show them promising results in the short term, but not a very smart business model to keep your business growing.

Think there's any possibility Gamedad wakes up and realized how awful this is and changes the season rewards back? I'm in game 2 of the 1st round of my playoffs, I'm hoping they change it back before my finals end.... a man can dream

If they wanted to nerf the rewards they should be like this,
Only doing star tier for now:

First Round: 2 Legendaries, 0 credits
Semi-Finals: 1 Star, 1 Legendary 100 credits
Finals Runner up: 2 Stars, 200 credits
Finals Winner: 2 Stars, 400 credits

Again these changes are minor, but it keeps an incentive to always want to win vs. tanking. Competitiveness is an important aspect in keeping competitive and fun seasons.
