That doesn't mean his style of play is likable, or agreeable.
But it's hard to say that he doesn't positively impact the team he's on.
At some point, you have to commend someone who can "game the system" as well as he does. That, in itself, is a skillset that can be honed.
With that said, I'd love to see him try some of his tricks in the late 80's / early 90's against the Bad Boy Pistons or Pat Riley's Knicks.
Edit: He doesn't deserve MVP over Curry, though.
Charles Oakley and Anthony Mason would knock that dumb beard into next week and straighten out his teeth the hard way if he tried his flopping bull**** against them...same for Laimbeer.
From BR comment section:
Harden became the 3rd player (Jordan [1989, 1990], LeBron [2008]) in NBA history to have at least 51 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals in a single game tonight. He did it in less minutes (38) and with less FGA (25), FTA (13) than both MJ (47 min., 31 FGA, 17 FTA; 50 min., 37 FGA, 23 FTA) and LBJ (47 min., 28 FGA, 16 FTA).

Just saying.
And both MJ and LeBron take a huge dump on Harden as players...what's your point?

Terrence Ross had a 51 point game last year against the Clippers. One game doesn't prove anything.

Never said they didn't.
From the same article:
Harden gets his 51 on 25 shots. Fourth player ever with 11 fts and 8 3-pointers in same game, joining LeBron James, Ray Allen, Kobe Bryant.
I just don't get how a lot of you guys think he doesn't deserve MVP.

He does deserve MVP, but not over Curry or Westbrook.

Curry also has a 48% field goal, 43% 3 point field goal, 92% FT and a 28 PER, almost 50/40/90 and he is on his way to break his own 3 point field goals made in a season record.
