Say you do end up getting a legendary pro from rivals but your deck is composed of mostly rare pros. Do you think it would be better to hold off combining the two legendaries until you have more players of better 'quality' (epic pros, etc.) Because instead of the legendary pro taking up one spot, you will then have 2 legends 'spread out' and taking up two spots which provides more depth for your team. What do you think?

I actually have a case study of this working.

A guy I tend to see a lot in QG, "bichkila" or something like that. His record is like 150-190, hasn't played a game since the first Rivals. I remember him being one of my Rivals Hot Streak cakewalks in the first Rivals.

Now, after the PF/C increase, his lineup with 2 single Rodmans is a bit tougher to beat. But if he merged them into one Legendary Pro, I'd probably see it first card and be done with it, and would still be using a Hot Streak everytime I saw him.

all this grinding is hard to stay around 250 and below...I can't image how intense it is to compete for top 25 or top 50...

Here's my thinking on these points.

1) I have basically the best possible rare pro season deck (except that I don't allow duplicate cards in my lineup) except thaddeus young. I now have an epic pro SG. So PF/C isn't really a factor in my decision.

2) the chances of me ever getting a second legendary of the same card is essentially zero.

3) having a legendary pro, an epic pro, and 13 rare pros in a season lineup is a great way to get myself in a bunch of terrible matchups. My stats would be very high but most of my cards would be rares. It would be much better for season matchmaking if I had 2 epic pros, than a legend pro and an epic pro.

And anyway, I don't think I could grind up to the legend pro tier. Probably not even the legend tier. I can easily stay above 2000. The time/reward balance for me combined with the points above means that an epic pro is probably my favorite choice for this event.

Agree. Unless you already have a line up filled with with legends or epic pros, getting a legendary pro will probably send you to seasons with higher level players. Becomes a disadvantage for season since during games, although your legend pro may beat his matchup, but your other 4 rare pros will get killed by the opponents other epic pros.

You guys may be right for the future update on seasons, but right now it is not blanced at all and even with legend pros you will get stuck with players around 2k stats.
I havent played a fair season yet, where someone wasnt at least 500 points above everyone else.

I will probably play alot tonight and just see how close I really am to one of the legendary tiers. You guys have made a good argument for at least considering that as worthwhile.

Not combining your 2 legend Robinsons is actually a great idea. I'm shooting for the pro also but now I'm thinking of not combining. Will help a lot having 2 Centers that are legends in the line up. :-)

I'm starting to think the previous 5 days of rivals grinding was actually better than the current 6 days. At least after grinding hard the last Saturday you have Sunday to relax and spend with the family before going back to work Monday. :-(

Yup. If you're not playing, someone else is. If you're not paying for hot streaks, someone else is. And now that I've done this for 2 days I have to keep going or else the two days is wasted!
