Did they say when it would be released. I only saw bits and pieces about the playoff season rewards.

Like I said in the info dump thread, it was my bad for misunderstanding the original info dump. I wasn't trying to start no e-fights or nothing guys.

I think it's more that you blasted them initially, then said sorry but yet you're still giving jabs here and there about "why is this update good?" or saying "you don't drink the Kool-aid right away." or that "this is the biggest cash grab update." after your first posting. I'm not trying to roast you or start a fight and I don't particularly enjoy calling someone out but it just seemed unwarranted to be upset when the majority of people agree that this is/has the potential to be a great update on both sides.

I'm a bit curious as to why there are no star cards as rewards in the new playoff tier. Maybe I'm missing something simple, anybody else?

There are...technically. The HOF and MVP cards are stars.

technically, HoF and MVP are Star cards. better than your regular Star cards, too.

There's some lag time. Pretty much any post that came across as negative I think came before I read confirmation of there being Playoff tier Quick Games, draftable Playoff Cards, Playoff cards sellable on AH, etc...

There was a discussion going on right when the info dump happened, and someone asked if the Playoff season rewards were going to give the top 8 a PO card (like Star tier) or not, and I responded that they had been dodging the question.

Then the info dump came and initially it read like the only way PO cards were going to enter the game was for the top 2 in a season, and that struck me as harsh for anyone who can't compete with deck's like Twista's or Egbert's or Syd's. I came across far more negative than intended.

The only thing that I'm confused about now is the HoF rewards since they'll be so hard to dupe. They would be a really good stepping stone between Pro Stars and Pro Playoffs cards if they could be reliably made into pros, but at 1/65 chance to get a dupe ... I don't see them having much place outside of filling out RttC decks, yeah?

After the more full info got released, I totally agree that the update looks great. Assuming the top 1k in RC gets bumped up to PO level rewards (and top-25/100 get the RttC dupe and Pro) and the RttC has already been confirmed to now end with a Playoff Level card ... people will be able to progress, even if it takes a few months for the average person to catch up.

The RC/RttC routes will probably be where a lot of trades and AH listings come from, as people get different luck from QG resets and upgrade different positions.

It looks about 10,000% better than it did when the info dump happened, and I think I read that and made poor assumptions because of the conversation that was going on right as the dump happened.

Also ... apparently I seem super emotional in text when I'm generally just chilling in my office and hitting up the forums between student visits or getting bits of work done.
