I know, that's why I was all for them not extending event and nerfing the 2v2 strategy. Ever since the final AH was added I haven't spend a dime on this game and I've made over 400k credits. I've went from mad broke to having 100k credits again just from playing the game.

How much in total did you spend before the AH? You were put in the position to be able to get those great cards in the first place because of the original money you spent. I'm not personally trying to bash you but the free players have been **** on lately by a lot of the paid players. Not everyone has the ability to get those kind or credits without getting extremely lucky or being the first one there, which I'm assuming you were because of the money you originally put in. The AH is now flooded and it is becoming extremely hard to earn credits to improve deck strength.

Also when most refer to the greed of CD, I think we can agree that, and let's be honest, the cost of some of these card packs, not to mention the 30% tax, has crossed over into that greedy territory, especially for a game that has a yearly life span. If CD did not have the rights to the NBA players via 2k, which essentially kills all possible competition, they wouldn't have lasted long.

and eventho people like to say it is only credits, those credits had to come in the system first of all
so there is def people spending 100 euro for 1 the greats card. which seems redic

and you obviously spend a good amount to get into star seasons early when u could actually win 3 stars etc

If you count iTunes gift cards then $145. I got $75 iTunes gift card on Xmas from 3 of my cousins (they gave me $25 each) which I used to buy 2 packs(the Epic-Legendary Pack which gave me Epic Mike Conley and Legendary-Star Pack that gave me Leg Chris Mullin so I didn't get a huge upgrade from those packs) then I spent $50 to buy 6500 credits which I used to Hotstreak on the Cavs-Warriors, Bulls-Heat, and Lakers-Pistons RC then I spent $20 to trying to snipe a 3 slot Star Shaq coz I was lacking 2000 credits on AH Beta but failed. So in total I only spent $70 from my pocket from the moment I played the game till AH beta then a few days after AH beta I won my 3rd Star Season and got 3 Star Rewards which were all dupes (Shaq, Kawhi and Dumars) I was feeling extremely lucky at that time so I decided why not open 2 more MVP packs and I got two MVP dupes. So I went from 6 Star Pros to 11 Star Pros in 1 day which I can say the moment that really boosted my lineup and allowed me to sell more star cards than I kept coz 10 cards was all I needed to win Star Seasons at that time. So it took me $145($70 out of my pocket and a lot of playing and lot to get where I'm at)

Edit: Also yiy1156 is the LIVING PROOF that FREE players can be successful if you just play the game. He's a free player that made over 100k last week and now has 2 Playoff Pros which is 2 more than I have

Assume 210 + 230 (trying to be conservative) game nights needed. 440 / 5 = 88 five night packs at 100 creds per = 8,800; however, this drops if you can do +2 against the Playoff card, and doesn't account for the game nights which will regenerate while you're doing the losing and using up your draft picks (presuming you save them and spend via quick game).

If you have to pay the 8,800 on game nights to lose through both cards, that's also 440 games, and if you can do 40 and hour, that's 11 hours so you'll get 44 of them regenerating in that time. Drops the cost down by 900 credits to 7,900. If you sell the playoff card at minimum, you spend a net of 2,650 credits to get the "Greats" Shaq.

If you can win against the Playoff card on +2 and only need to buy the game nights for shaq, then you obviously come out net positive on creds.

In addition to the 88 full game nights pack, don't you also have to buy game nights from the common card up to star card and the 600 credits hotstreaks pack? I do hope you post your findings on Friday.

So it would appear as if you were a bit of both categories, paid and luck. Mostly luck because you were able to take advantage of the extremely generous 3 star season reward. To get that kind of reward now, someone would have to play 3 seasons minimum quarter final exit.

Again, not trying to pick on you, just trying to point out how the first to it usually get the most out of it.

Well, I don't want to criticize yiy, because he is a nice guy, but he is not a good example for you to use. If I'm not mistaken has he not traded cards with people in the forum. He has taken advantage of a loophole that I gaurantee CD would love to find a way to close. Some may look at that as stealing from CD to improve his deck.

Yes I was one of the players that reached Star season when there were 3 cards for the champion but its not like I won a lot of them I won a total of 5 and out of those 5 wins that 3rd Star season win was the only memorable one and mostly helped me coz the other times I won it rewards were crappy cards that I sold w/ buybacks coz they were Paul Pressey Henry Bibby, Mitch Richmond. I feel like the market for Legendary Pros at AH beta was the one that helped me the most because I was pretty lucky on leg tier and kept drafting and winning dupe cards and I was able to sell them for 4-5k per pro at that time since I had more than 15. Hopefully you saw what I wrote above because I think you proved my point, but any way, kudos for grinding hard in RC for those rewards, I think we all know how hard the grind is. Especially with all the cheating we know goes on at the very top. I would never criticize you for playing the legit way

I don't know if he has traded with people but I don't think trading is that bad since they still have to absorb the credits they lose from the 30% tax. IMO trading is part of playing the market and if he traded cards then he was smart with the way he did it and was successful in doing so.

Yeah I saw what you said about those generous 3 cards but I've seen more players here posting their rewards at that time where they had better rewards than what I had so I guess I never really viewed that 3 card rewards that much coz I kept winning crap cards, unlike playing QGs I was able to draft top tier cards get early resets so I was more in favor of QGs and grinding than seasons at that time.
