Sorry if I don't understand, but what do you mean by:

5 - 3 paired with 7 - 3 on the "doubles".
6 - 4 paired with 8 - 4 on the "doubles".
7 - 5 paired with 9 - 5 on the "doubles".

Just like the original version of the event, the game has its point totals per "single" event randomly assigned as either "5-3", "6-4" or "7-5", which results in the +/- 2 points (or a 2 point differential). Originally, the winning amount would be "doubled", resulting in a score for the doubles matchups of "10-3" (+/- 7), "12-4" (+/- 8) or "14-5" (+/- 9).

The fix just changed the winning team's point amount from double the assigned variable (which randoms from among 5, 6 or 7) to the variable + 2. So instead of the "10-3 / 12-4 / 14-5" points awarded for the matchup, it changed to "7 - 3 / 8 - 4 / 9 - 5", resulting in a steady +/- four points on the double matchup.

Does that make sense? I'm nine hours in and it makes sense in my head but it comes out confusing ;p

Do you think it makes sense to purchase game nights up until Rose? (5 for 100 credits). I'm leaning towards doing that so I have to buy "fewer" game nights when I reach Shaq. The game nights I use now would be better "value" since I can breeze by +14.

my regular season is about to end and of course the one with the best deck decided to tank and will end up in my side of the playoffs.. an easy PO card just lost because of him.. i'm so pissed.. CD better give me a reset asap

Winning and loosing points for singles and doubles matches.

And when he said you need 14 star pros, it's for the reason with have to consider that 3 might not get selected during matches. If you get lucky, you can do it with 11.

14 star pros guarantees that you can win enough events to beat +7 on Jalen, if you are aware of the cards that could wreck you. The strategy is pretty easy though. You just dump your worst cards early. If the "double" matchup comes first, that's where a truck card will be, and the computer never plays the truck card at the end.

The place where you can lose is if you intentionally lose the 1st matchup and then the double comes out and the truck card plus another strong card is there and you lose that matchup also. That puts you at -2 point differential for that quarter no matter what and forces you to win more elsewhere. Thankfully if you are just going for winning 11 of the 12 single matchups, you can afford for this to happen once each game and still win outright. If it happens twice you would tie (which I haven't tested).

Early indications for my deck are that Shaq has to be loss grinded. Let me add up my costs:

I bought a 600 credit HS pack at the start. The free game nights thus far have been worth 574 points. (9 hours of regen = 36, plus the 5 free to start is 41 free game nights, at 14 points each).

Free game nights plus hot streaks would be enough to get through the Epic card by now, with 2 game nights left over. I purchased game nights whenever I bottomed out, and math says that I purchased 8 5-packs of game nights, for 800 credits.

I've now spent a total of 1,400 credits and need to lose to Shaq 222 more times. There are 225 more free game nights which can be used safely.

Conclusion: If you want to get the greats card for the least cost, and you have 14+ Star Pros, you should grind the first 8-9 hours using a 600 credit hot streak bundle and buying around 40 extra game nights.

After that, every hour you sleep will cost you around 80 credits. If you don't want to spend the credits, you get to set your alarm and wake up every hour.

Personally, I'll probably just spend the extra credits for game nights and enjoy my sleep

Cue the mocking of my "essays" now. At least they're useful I hope. Once I get tired of grinding on Shaq for a bit, I'll be finalizing my guide and posting it.

I thought about waiting until this event was over, because I have a feeling I'm gonna get barraged with questions for the rest of the event ... but Jalen is so much easier than expected, and I expect a difficulty hike.

Of course, it could just be easier since we all got our decks better as much as we could to get into playoff seasons. I'm tired enough that I'm not sure I can really rationally decide whether it needs a difficulty hike or not. I mean ... my deck has a Leg Pro as its worst card ... so it's not like it's a terrible 25th card or anything ... but still.

If you buy game nights and grind through the Playoff card in the first 9 hours, you have enough free game nights left to lose your way to shaq. For every hour you sleep, you will have to spend ~80 more credits.

This results in around 1,400 credits spent in the first 9 hours, and an estimated 1,280 more spent if you sleep twice for 8 hours. It also means you need to never lose a game night while you're awake, which is not always realistic, but still ... 2,680 credits if you have 14+ SPros is ... not bad.
