yea that's what i thought -- Warriors always give out free t-shirts at home during playoff.

On the contrary, Hawks did not when I attend EC Semi-final, and I was disappointed (also for the fact that they don't have merchandise for Bob Pettit)

Do they sell Sonics gear at Thunder games? Pettit never played in Atlanta, he played in St Louis. Same franchise, but different franchise at the same time.

I think only certain franchises do that. I know two years ago when my relative from Florida went to a Heat playoff game he got a White Hot Heat T-Shirt,

I went earlier this year and I don't even remember seeing a Bird shirsey or Jersey. It's really kind of sad.

Thank you for your email! Quite honestly I don’t think the idea has really been discussed since there wasn’t much demand for it. Even Mitchell & Ness – the official throwback NBA vendor – doesn’t offer it in their catalogue.

It is something we can discuss with our internal team and see if we want to move forward on with a custom order. I can’t promise we will be able to get them but we will certainly look into it.

Pettit's number is still retired with the Hawks after moving to ATL.

Like they said, there isn't much demand for St Louis Hawks gear. Have you found anything on other sites?

I went earlier this year and I don't even remember seeing a Bird shirsey or Jersey. It's really kind of sad.

I haven't been to a Celtics game this year. But the last time I went(2013) they had bird's and Russell's jerseys. Now I think they probably just sell jae crowder's and olynyk's jersey instead

But yeah they never respect the legends lol

You based in ATL too? Hawks didn't either when I watched gm2 vs the Nets. Looks like theyve started giving them out in the EC finals though!

There is one online but it is too expensive. I wasn't looking for a jersey specifically, even just a Tee will do. But yea I was hoping to get any shirt/jersey of Pettit if they have it, but they don't. Oh well lol.

I think its harder for arenas to sell and have stock for retro player jerseys because Retro jerseys are done by Mitchell & Ness while current player jerseys are provided by Adidas which also sends gear to the team since Adidas is the partner of the NBA in terms of basketball gear.
