See it from our side, the statement, "nothing sells", is flat out not true. There are plenty of cards selling on the AH. Some absolutely do not sell, but that has more to do with supply and demand (i.e. there is too much supply). It's why the PO tier works well in the AH because the supply is low in comparison to past tiers.


If we were to get rid of minimums or lower them significantly with the way the overall card and currency economy works right now, then everyone would simply trade cards at virtually no cost, resulting in people having final decks very very quickly. Then everyone just be demanding that the game is boring because you need more content, everyone has the same deck, etc.


It isn't as simple as lowering the minimums will solve all the problems. It's bigger than that and will take some serious changes to address. For now, the AH is accomplishing something that people wanted from '14, you can exchange cards with each other, and gain a benefit from cards you no longer use. You just can't get that benefit for *every* card. I'm ok with that, since there are plenty of cards that are selling and benefiting people. Some have figured out ways to sell even the "unsellable" too but timing auctions right, leveling them, or the right enhancements. Auction Houses sometimes take some time from the player in order to fully take advantage of them.

I understand what you are saying and am not saying get rid of minimums cos I feel they are necessary to give the cards values, but adjust them accordingly jst like apple does with like (say the iPhone 5s and below when 6 and 6plus were released).

My QG tier is Playoff, seasons Star, RTTC Star+, at the point game only star pros and above would help progress and even star pros would only help me short term. With 12 star singles and 6 leg singles I should be able to get something from the AH but no and the reason is because my cards are mediocre which I don't mind but the market does.

And this is where the frustration is, looking at all these hard earned cards who would do nothing and have no place in the market to atleast get u something...

If the difficulty is commiserate with the previous RTTC I think you could potentially win about 50% of the games. Every RC and Legendary Pro will be absolutely useless. Regular Playoff cards will only help if they are played at the right times.

They're not useless...just always start each quarter with a low card and the AI will usually play one of its strongest

Play your strongest cards as late in the quarter as possible and you should have no problem winning

Looks good. Not guaranteeing anything but it'll give you the best shot at winning games. Just make sure to burn the first 2 rounds no matter how enticing the matchup is. It'll be a truck card 90% of the time. Good luck man.

Example...PS3 prices didn't stay the same when PS4 came out. The price dropped obviously...cuz no one in their right mind would buy a full priced PS3 when they can buy a PS4

Same with these card tiers on the AH

It makes 0 sense to not lower the minimum prices on everything when something new comes out

I hope the economics of AH get revamped for 2k16.

Seems like they aren't open to making any pricing changes for the current edition of AH, so we are stuck with buybacks, and those have even creeped into PO tier cards. Even then star buybacks are basically absent. Last time I sold a star it was an MVP 3 slot kobe I fully trained after my first PO season.

I would love an option to instantly sell cards for some amount of credits, even if the amount is low.

Yes, just like in Fifa or my team.... We would live with this too

I had a lineup weaker than yours last RTTC...I hot streaked +14 the whole way even through the PO card...just lost my way to David Robinson...I won about 20% of the games. Play long enough and you'll start to know all of his cards...like which ones haven't been played yet and you can predict what's up next especially in the 4th quarter

I agree with most of your post, but this part is not true if you simply erase minimum starting bids while keeping the minimum BIN's. That way, no trading at no cost would occur, because the cards would always be bid on.

Lol he left right after my post. Hopefully it means he is going to share my idea with the rest of CD.

Yes, I know the strategy, and they are useless because you are throwing them away in hopes of winning later quarters. If they were useful they could potentially when in the later quarters. They don't win anything so they useless.

Yep exactly. I don't see how they can say that the minimum prices are fine as they are when they're clearly not.

My guess is that buybacks skew the AH stats so CD thinks cards are selling fine, when a lot of them have deals involved.

It's almost like no one from CD ever took an economics class at any level...

it depends what which economy you're talking about. the AH economy (for players) is harsh, but the real cash economy for CD is thriving.

when you can't sell anything in AH and you want to buy a card what are your options? slowly collect during daily pick 3, win seasons, or... buy credits with real cash.
