Sorry if this is a stupid question: what is the significance of the mvp, other than that card is showing up like an avatar?

Kinda depends on the person, some use it do disguise how good their line-up is, some find it funny, others use it to keep from accidentally getting rid of a specific card, and some use it show their best player.

I understand a 100 point difference isn't huge. My point is that, no matter the difference in points, or the reasoning for a win in a season, versus a loss, the fact that we still don't KNOW why they happen, and that we still can't effectively affect the outcomes of games, makes this change pointless.

The reality is that, even with improved matchmaking, 7 people DON'T have a chance. 7 people are just being made to feel like they do. In a game in which we cannot actually do things to affect the outcome (outside of guessing and hoping), there is no competition. You're fooling yourself to think otherwise. The player that had the best team is going to win. That's it.

Even in the example you gave, it doesn't change anything. So let's say you have 100 higher stats, but it's mostly because of one player. Guess what? Your team is worse than mine ( regardless of if your numbers are slightly higher), you'll lose almost every time, and there's pretty much nothing you can do about it. THAT'S what's not changing here, and as long as that's not changing, nothing else really matters.

Again, this change just serves to make people feel better, but the fact remains that there is little to nothing you can do, to actual affect the outcome of games. As long as that's the case, this isn't competitive at all.

I agree in some sense, but the improvements of matchmaking forces you to manage your season, or else you will lose. That makes it harder and competitive. With this update, we're not suppose to get stuck with people that beat us by 800 more points across the board. But yes, improving your deck is all based on chance, and Cad Daddy knows it. That is why people purchase packs that guarantee them something.

In the end, it may not be the competition we're hoping for, but that is because of the season format to begin with.

Thing is though taking 7 hours is nonsense. It shouldn't take more than an hour to find enough people to make a season.

I think to address the wait time, they should add in bots if we dont already have some. If we already do, add more. A reasonable percentage of putting bots in our seasons would reduce the wait time. If im not mistaken, i heard that its bots in everybody's first season. Bots just like in our first season would be fine as they are just people to get wins off of.
Its like nba2k13's online association. We may have real people in the season, but we always have CPU matches as well. If on pro difficulty, we all know we can beat those bots, but they are just to fill up the empty spots.

Yeah I am a bit surprised but very happy with the changes. I am still racking my brain to figure out how I could ever get my defense that high.

Has anyone noticed a drop in chance of getting a rare? I usually get 1 in 75-90 , so far today 326 picks 1 rare at about 130th pick, just wondering if it's me or anyone else?

I used to run a rare pro Goran Dragic since he's the best guy on the suns (and I have yet to get a Bledsoe card). Now I'm just disguising myself as a bot.

Just lost 2 games in a row in season first game by 4 when all my stats were 100 higher than his and the 2nd by 26 when our stats were even...wth

Not guarenteed but fairly likely (I have a rare pro brook Lopez with the nets as my favorite team). It is probably more likely if they have a plain name as well.

Lol but your Dragic is Pro or normal? Because the rare card of bots is not Pro.

People that are amazingly strong, and the wait time is huge, should just be matched up with bots period. I hear some of you go 6-8 season winning streaks. Clearly, you guys rarely get beat; so instead of beating someone else to the epic reward in the finals, beat bots.

I usually use uncommon player an rare from my team as my MVP. I am not a bot lol.
