I think credits are really running dry - in retrospect, I actually really applaud CD for giving credits instead of Pros, because I think the credits would've dried up even quicker - and so, with things like HS and game nights, they're eating up the dwindling supply of credits. Add in the 30% cut from the AH plus the 20 listing fee, and I really think that there's not enough to go around, hence the quick BB market - people just don't have enough spare credits lying around, as winning 1000 from a season dries up pretty quickly, and the 325 much quicker.

ETA: Credits in seasons instead of multiple cards.

I'd much prefer multiple cards because then I wouldn't have to rely on AH as heavily as I do now to receive dupes.

Plus - all the top tier guys bought tons of packs. Each time the economy loose 14000 credits. This and the tax killed the whole economy within months.

Not saying buybacks are bad, but they are also killing credits. CD takes the 30% tax away twice.

I just can't figure out what CD was trying to do by making it harder. People are already quitting as it is and few people seem to be buying credits either given the AH. What is going to happen from making RTTC harder beyond frustrating the remaining players?

It's a great question, and one that they should have headed off with honesty. If, before buffing it, they had come out and said "by the way, we're making the PO and POTG tier tougher, because we feel right now that these cards (which are the strongest in the game) are being acquired by too many people, which makes them feel cheaper", then there would've been obvious grumbling, but I could've understood it.

As it is, the lack of communication surrounding the change makes me default to thinking they want more people to either spend money on the AH (so they get their 30% take), buy more packs for stronger cards (so they get their 100% take), or buy more game nights/HS's (so they get their 100% take). It just seems like another move to get the already dry community to spend even more - the whales already should have no problem because their decks can handle the changes anyways.
