Do we need energy cards for these rivals events or is it like quick games? Basically we put out 5 best cards out there and go for it.

The way I understand it, everyone playing the game chooses to play as either the Celtics or Lakers. And then whichever of those two teams win, everyone playing as them gets the reward. Or some kind of reward, at least. Re-reading it, I guess it does say just the top players get the special card, which I guess makes sense.

I'm fine not being able to draft 1,000 picks a clip, but I would like to be able to draft 100.

Maybe let me lock particular cards like my 15 in-season as well as what I know I can combine later that would improve my team... or don't force me to incorporate every common/uncommon into my hand.

If I had a quick & easy way of deleting all the common/uncommon cards while accepting only board clearing picks I think that would be ideal for me.

Energy is not required. You play like Quick Game except you will have 3 opponents to choose from. One that is easy (worth 1 point), one medium (worth 3 points), and one hard (worth 5 points). Playing a Hot Streak makes the point total double, but you have to win to receive the points. Playing your best cards usually gets you better matches, but players with all common cards can even compete. It's all about how many points you collect up during the event.

i feel ya pain with the epic card droughts cause i got an epic tyreke evans within my first 300-500 quick matches and now about 4000 games later i haven't drafted another one besides the two i got during that two hour window they gave us with higher percentages a few days ago

You do not need awesome cards to compete. You do need to win a lot of games to gain Personal Points. The rewards are tier based so only a certain number of tier 1 rewards go out, then tier 2, tier 3, etc. The higher your tier the better the rewards. Tier 1 rewards will be for the top 20 players and it is the special Rivals Clash card. It will either be Kobe or Bird depending on which team wins the event. The team winner determines which reward goes out.
