I really hope next RC isn't anybody good , or anybody I want , my finger and brain need some time off , 2nd event was great , only 8k pts got me 380th pl, which is a little over 2 hours a day, usually watching a few shows before going to bed , no way I can ever do 18k again , that was brutal.

I had said something like this before lol. I think there should be 2 season setups with 2 different types of lineups; 1 for only cards that are earned (drafted/rewarded), like a basic season, then a 2nd "all star" type of season that is open to ALL cards bought and/or earned. An all "earned" season would be so much fun cause it would make a lot of those lower cards more valuable because of the crappy drop rates. This would, however, require 2 different collections so the bought cards didn't count towards your 100 card limit; or they could just allow you to use cards stored in your catalog.

I'm not sure about that. I just think with 100 cards we could run two teams be it bought or not bought. At this point I mostly have cards I've bought.

This is the line up I used for this past rivals event, for the most part. It's a pretty good choice and it will win about 9/10 of the 5 point games.



This is what I will be using next even. Unless I draft a leg that I already have and make it pro. Wishful thinking but that chances of that happening are less than 1%.

Won season last night , got 2 epics from it , Nate and granger which I can now pro granger, 2 games into new season playing somebody in the 5k avg range , I'm at 3200 , there goes the next 4 days of no hope , what formula can they use to make seasons fair , any ideas ? I just want 32 teams of plus or minus 200 pts, it's not that I wanna win every season , what formula can they use that people won't take advantage of and would make seasons fair ? Just in case they are listening maybe some so can come up wit a good idea, cause any ideas I have can be exploited , think that's the challenge for them.

Well since people were posting their LU's, I figured I'd post mine as well (First time doing so).

Here's where getting Pippen would have really helped me. Pretty disappointed I couldn't get top 50.
Also, I hate how all my epic pro's are PGs (I've drafted two from Rivals and one was from a first round exit).

forgive me for my ignorance , its my 3rd season , and I won my first season but fell short in the finals during my second season, I just got my leg pippen from the rivals clash event, I literally grinded for 19 hours from 180 and fell short to 158. I would like to ask what is this "2 COMMON CARDS" strategy I keep hearing about. Thanks

I learned something new today which many of you may already have discovered. If you have a player with 0 energy and sub him out of your roster with another player then immediately sub him back into your roster he will have full energy. That is Twista's tip of the day, enjoy.

To have "fair" seasons, we have to have super long wait times. To me, it's fine how it is. I win some, lose some. It's not like the game is actually competitive anyway.

This thing was grinded to death, and it seems that the only thing they can to to spice up the season formula is to review the prize system.

Tier based system (sort of like in Myteam road to the playoffs in the console version)

Initially people are put into tiers based on their points.
If you win a season (or top 4) you go up a tier, lose (no playoffs) you go down. Other guys stay.

To encourage people to always try (and to not lose 5 in a row in order to win) they can either.
a. Put point limits on each tier, so if your deck is of a certain value you cannot go any lower. (i.e. Twista couldn't tank 5 seasons in order to drop to the lowest tier to win.. even thought im pretty sure he wins every season as is)

b. Make the rewards better/exclusive in higher tiers (e.g. Top tier season winner gets an exclusive card or a legendary pro, the bottom tier winner gets an epic. Middle of the road might get an epic pro, something like that)
also scale up the rewards on offer for finals placings depending on the tier. There should always be an incentive to play higher even if it means you will not win. Playing in a tier lower than you are capable of should be useless and not beneficial.

c. Give a certain card for reaching higher tiers (again think Myteam on 2k14 where you get diamond cards the higher you get) Maybe introduce special 'Seasons' cards that can only be achieved this way. Make them like rivals cards or something.

That i did not know. It's not a graphics glitch? What i mean is - after a game using this method is the subbed in player whos energy was restored looses a little bit, or goes down all the way?

That's mine, still MJ23 rivals and legend pro Pippen to be subbed-in.

I'm reserving that until last second as a surprise to a fellow season contender. Well if he is reading the forums it's not a surprise anymore

Season is almost over for me. I just changed my team to the clippers and since I can't win the chip I'm going to tank and hopefully get an epic pro out of it.
