It depends on how good you/your line-up is. The amount of time you need depends on the pace you can set. If you only get say 300pt/hr, than you probably need to pay almost non-stop to get to the top 150. If you can do 600pt/hr, then you only need to play a few hours a day. If you spam HS and can get 1000+ pt/hr, then you can easily get there in a day.
Last RC was likely an exception to the norm... i mean a lot of vets could have gotten top 150 playing 1 day (tho probably 16+ hour in that 1 day) to get to the top 150 without HSing. Don't expect top 150 to be that low this time.
Remember last time, there was extra incentive to be 151 - 650 due to Legendary Pro CD being better than any other card (not counting RC Pro Walton). This time, RC single is better than the legendary Pro so 51 - 150 is better than 151 - 350 (aka no reason to tank). Also Wilkin > Smith (popularity wise) and Shaq >> Howard popularity wise. So anyway you look at it, there is extra incentive to be inside the top 150.
As far as Robb goes, he's pretty much the paul heyman for WM. Best way to deal with him is just ignore everything he says. Not that hard to do. WM won last time so congrats to him. The only thing we're saying is he only won because the vets weren't in. If the vets were playing, i wouldn't have gotten 3rd, that's a fact... on top of that i got 3rd while slacking off (posting way more than normal instead of playing non-stop). That wouldn't happen in normal situation. I expect more vets will play this week due to the simple fact the patch is farther behind us now and thus some will return to the game.
Also the fact Wayne has only a 8:1 win/loss record once again proves (at least based on screenshot right after RC), that his points/hr rate is much lower than what Vets (like Twista) can pull. During KD's week, Twista was gaining on me @ ~300-400 pt/hr when he's playing while WM can only gain 100-200pt/hr on me and i'm not HSing. That pretty much means he's an average player who's willing to spend both time and $300+ (probably $400+ since he actually loses games) on the RC while most weren't willing to (like i said before, i doubt many spent anything or much during last RC... much different than the norm).Comment

Na, not going for #1. I have no plan on spending money on the app (haven't yet at least) and not starting right after the patch. If a Jordan card comes (i wasn't playing the first time) and the app might continue (as is) in NBA 2k15, then i might go for #1 but otherwise i'll just be somewhere in the top 25... hopefully with Sunday off like last week.
