Did a lot of y'all in the star/+/++ spend any money to get higher cards or did y'all just grind away? Curious to see how y'all did it.

Sold epic/ultra rares and turned those into Legend Dupes.

Technically I didn't, technically I did. I've bought 7 leg-star packs since I started playing in Dec. but every one was a useless reward that I've actually since trained away and never used. Roughly 2.5-3 weeks ago I only had 1 Spro, then I won a dupe Dandridge in seasons, was stuck with 2 for a little while until this recent update. Won a 3slot LBJ in my first season with the "****" rewards, that got bought out for 10k (thanks again vermouth ) which then helped me get a dupe Kyrie, then a Star Cousins sold a little after and I won a bidding war on a 3-slot Serge, then drafted a dupe Kemp early this morning and also traded a 3 slot Scottie for a 3 slot dupe CP3 earlier this afternoon.

Spending money only made me want to quit the game, and all the progress and good moments I've had have come through actually playing and grinding through the games.

Best advice I could give is NEVER EVER NEVER EVER buy packs hoping to make progress, and the bad times and bad luck always evens out eventually!

The season rewards were very generous before they changed it. I accumulated 35+ Star cards so it was much easier to get a dupe or have cards to sell. Grinding wise, I probably got a reset every 7-10 days. Add that to the addition of the AH and trading with forum members during the beta, it helped progress decks very quickly. I went from 6 to 14 Star Pros at one point before I sold some away.

Good to hear. I'm glad I became active on here. You guys are legit the best (screw those IGN forums guys lol). I wish I played it more when it first came out cause I wasn't that into seasons or QG, just was into the VC. Only a couple months ago did I start playing hardcore and I'm on the verge of possibly being in Leg, as I'm in Ep++.

yes. those of us lucky enough to reach star quickly, were easy seasons with great rewards. i won 9 of my first 10 star seasons us one 2nd. thats 32 stars! we were spoiled and now everyone else doesnt have the same luxury.

Realistically, do I have a chance to even get this Karl Malone? I'm losing even at +2 (Barely epic deck) and I've got 32 points... That's the one card I wanted badly.

I got it with +7 and sent it straight to AH
