Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
There was some great dialog between several people.
I don't have a problem with the tax. Even though I have been outspoken against the season rewards I really do understand the approach but wanted to try to get it reverted.
NWGameDad would you be able to share the thoughts on not adjusting the RC cards with the HOF and P&P?
I still love the game and I am exited for the new teir.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
So,
I'm a firm believer that when you do something wrong in public, you ought to make amends in public. I said something snarky yesterday that wasn't even directed at NWGD or CD, but was instead meant as an insult to some of the truly irredeemable trolls around these boards (Thankfully they get chased away rather quickly by you lot).
I sent NWGD a private apology, but I'd like to apologize publicly. I may not agree with your design choices, but the simple point of fact is that you are the Senior Producer, and I am just a customer, and probably nowhere near your most valued one at that. It also seems obvious, but perhaps bears pointing out, that you are obviously trying to do your best to put out a quality app, while also dealing with obligations to a parent company, the pressure to meet certain revenue targets, and you face a generally hostile public when you venture out to speak.
I apologize for the few things among my post history that have added to that, simply because it's quite obvious you have enough nastiness to deal with already as it is.
To everyone, I apologize for my boorish behavior in public. I shall endeavor to be a little less snarky going forward, although I will not stop arguing for common sense constructive changes that will benefit both CD (extra revenue) and the players.
Now ... let's all do our best to help the wayward people who will want to play for the Wizards this next RC realize just how much better that Bob Lanier card is than that John Wall. We don't even need to act against our own interests to try and ensure the Bucks win for Apos.QG Tier: Legendary++

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
I sold 2, i think forum members bought both. One even posted it, i forgot who, the second i had to re insert it and then it sold. Wait til RC starts or RTTC thats when people start upgrading their LUs. Most people are dormant when there is no event.IGN: Joenuts83

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Generally I try and save 3 slot cards that have boost to team effects so that the pool of interested buyers includes more than just people looking to buy training fodder. I also hang onto popular players in Epic/Leg tier, as they are more likely to sell the first go round.
I've done well enough with this since the AH came out that I was able to buy out 3 star cards today at 6k buyouts and considerably upgraded my deck. When my new pros are trained fully, I will be maxxed in Star++ QG and have a fairly formidable Star Seasons lineup (good enough to make the QFs for a star card, at any rate).
I gotta grind out to train them up, but my lineup will hopefully look something like this within the week:
PG : Pro Star Stephen Curry
SG : RC Vince Carter (kicking myself for not going for the top-100 to pro him)
SF : Pro Star Nick Young (hopefully will be backup to a Pro RC, Pro PO or LeBron/Pippen/Kawhi pro soon)
PF : Pro Star Tim Duncan
C : Pro RC Bob Lanier (hopefully; David Robinson is the backup plan if the Bucks don't win the RC)
I've got backups for my backups at the guard spots ... just need to Pro them for RttC purposes. Still super thin at SF (my backup is still that Pro Epic Paul Pierce I've had since forever).Last edited by SmartForce; 04-07-2015, 12:50 PM.QG Tier: Legendary++

MVP Trade Thread
I wish they would let us trade these so that we can start a thread, and include other premium cards so that we can dupe them. I have about 25 MVPs and only 3 Pros. All i want is to dupe my D Rose. I will give up KD, Big O, Karl Malone, Bill Russell, Larry Legend, Moses Malone, or any of my other MVPs if they let me dupe just the 1.IGN: Joenuts83

Whether these changes we want are implemented, well...that's another story. At the end of the day though, it is a yearly app, and it is just a game...so nothing to get too upset about.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
This is great advice. I use RC events to get Leg/Epic/UR cards to train and then do as many +2 game nights as I have spare time for to stockpile draft picks to level them and then they sell during and immediately after the following RC quite well.

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
Correct, there is a time to sell and a time to wait. I have had great success in the AH and have bought a boat load of MVPs even though HoF are better. But i am so addicted and really want my D Rose or even Artis Gilmore 52 Bulls Center to complete my all Bulls Star Pro LU. Or they can add Gasol as PO and make him dual position since he plays both alot and started the all star game at Center.
Younger kids don't realize, but players today have it so easy. Things that get called Flagrant these days sometimes wouldn't even have been fouls in the 80s and 90s. Jordan got mugged every time down the court. Players these days just wouldn't stand up to the abuse he took regularly.
The other thing people don't realize about Jordan is that while he was phenomenally gifted physically, he never ever stopped improving his game. He kept on adding new facets to his game all through his career so that he always had a way to be a force, even as his body finally began to betray him.
He's still the only player in history to average more than 30 points per game over an entire career (and it was dragged down significantly by his Wizards years ... it was 31.5 just in his Bulls years). He was robbed of several MVP awards simply because the voters got tired of giving it to him year after year.
And the guy played defense like no "superstar" of this era even dreams of playing defense. Those bulls won championships on the back of incredible defensive plays Jordan made (watch the last 5 minutes of the '98 finals series clinching win for goosebumps).
All that said ... I was born in Maine and I bleed Green. I can't cheat on the Celtics, although I've grown a soft spot in my heart recently for the Bucks. As long as it isn't to the detriment of the Celtics, I will root for them.QG Tier: Legendary++
