Anybody watch the Wizards/Raptors game on Sunday? Shaq called out Reggie Miller at halftime for using the "Hack-a-Shaq" phrase repeatedly during the broadcast.

Shaq was like, "Reggie, Shaq doesn't play in the NBA anymore. And it didn't work 12 years ago when you tried it on me. Stop saying Hack-a-Shaq"

Then Charles was like, "Okay, let's just say Hack-A-Dummy"

It was pretty hilarious.

Are you guys planning on grabbing your Playoff Freebies as soon as the update drops?

I had originally planned to... now I am at like 150 boards. Agh, over halfway but if the update drops tomorrow... I will have a tough decision to make. What are you guys at and planning on doing (I know this is very contingent on when the playoff update drops but it is fun to speculate). I remember some major regret waiting like a week for my final Legendary update (+27/+27 self support, of no use then or now).

Im going to drop tiers until i get a reset and then move right up to PO
(leg++, then epic++, etc)

My season ended Sunday afternoon and I claimed my reward. Played 5 games yesterday to get my reset and haven't touched it since. Actually, just to claim my daily VC/Credits.

Some Kobe fans don't admit that shaq carried him to 3 champs. Sometimes they come up with arguments like "if shaq is that good how come lebron didn't win a champ when he was on the cavs" lol

I'll give you the 2000 NBA finals. Shaq was beastly and Kobe only averaged 15.6 ppg. In 2001, Kobe almost averaged 25 ppg in the finals and in 2002, almost 27 ppg in the finals. There is no doubt that Shaq was the leader during the Lakers threepeat but Kobe played an important role as well.

Also if you look at the entire playoffs and not just the finals, Kobe averaged 21 ppg in 2000, 29 ppg in 2001 and 26 ppg in 2002.

Haha, I posted that exact thing yesterday. I said after update, I will play for a few Star clears, then drop down to Leg... I hadn't considered Epic because those cards are just teases now a days anyhow.

Yeah people tend to be overly aggressive on either side of the argument.

Listen, Shaq is undoubtedly one of the greatest centers of all time despite that flaw in his game. Even with awful FTs, you would consider him one of the greatest of all time. I often see him as top 5, if not #2 (behind Kareem) by active and former pros.

He wasn't the most polished player, but his size, strength, and athleticism made it damn near impossible to stop his play. I do agree with Phil Jackson's assessment that Shaq still underachieved in his career. If he had Kobe's studious nature and MJs overly competitive drive, he would by far be one of the best players, not just centers, of all time. Oh well.

I'll admit, Kobe couldn't win without Shaq (because he was still a young gun and took some silly shots but he showed that he could win without him in 2009 when he became a true leader) but don't think for a second that Shaq could've won without Kobe (without D-Wade, Shaq wouldn't have his fourth ring so don't even go there). Just like MJ couldn't win without Pippen, vice versa.

Exactly. That's why I hate arguments like x can't win a championship without other stars etc.

They need to leave it alone, players should shoot better free throws. Its part of the game. Yes it slows it down, my advice is big guys need to play better and quit sucking.

We all know ridiculous fans are everywhere- "DAE LeCHOKE LAMES bottom 5 players of ALL TIME?," "MJ was overrated, he would be an average 6th man at best in today's league rofl."- and that their judgement is blinded by their fanaticism. Not necessary to bring it up unless someone makes an equally absurd evaluation.

It truely is a stupid argument because no one has and no one (unless you get Wilt numbers and even then) ever will win a championship without a really good side kick and a ok supporting cast (and that's why I think GSW will win the championship, they have all the pieces and the blow that the Cavs just took will be too much for them to bounce back from but I'm still rooting for the Cavs)
