That's unfortunate if it's true. Let's be honest here, CD really screwed the pooch on this update. They claim that they had to wait til the regular season was over and the playoff seeding where set so they could finalize the update. But that doesn't even make sense, cause the only thing that it would make a difference on where the players/teams that got cards. And card updates or adding cards to the game doesn't take app updates. They do it all the time for the rttc and rc.

They could of had this app update ready and approved way before playoffs started, and activated/add whatever cards are necessary right when the playoffs hit. The only playoff spot that was really in contention was the 8th seed in the western conference. Now we are almost pass the first round.

Adding a whole new group of cards that aren't already in the game (record setters, MVP's and HOF) have each taken a client update so I don't think that's the case. On top of that, 6-8th seed in the east were up the last couple of days. Plus they still had to do the other things they haven't told us about.

Are you kidding it came down to the last week of the season in order for the 7th and 8th seed in the East to be finalized. And as you said the same with the West. And they really couldn't have it ready before for that reason because you don't know who is going to make the playoffs or not. Also this update IS NOT just to add playoff tier. They are nerfing TWO major things. The double point quarters in RTTC and the 3/2 lineup. So maybe there has been issues with coming up with how to fix those issues. Or the fixes they have made caused more bugs to happen and they had to fix those issues.

Almost any 3 slot will sell (especially if you train it). My season reward was a 3 slot Griffin and it sold on the first try.

How long have they known that the playoffs where going to start april 16th? Since the beginning of the year? It doesn't matter if took to the last week or last day for the seeds to be finalized. Let's be honest, the cards are just pretty basic, with stats distributed one way or another and a different picture. You are telling me, they couldn't of taken the AD PO card that is coming, and slap ibaka's picture on it? That would take all of what, 5 mins to create?

Then activate the one that made the playoffs. So instead of 36 cards, you make 44 cards or something, which would've taken all of 1 hour extra about?

Bug fixes and game fixes aside (fixing the 3/2, rttc, deck limit size etc) should of had no barring on the release of PO cards. PO tier was already in the game from the last update; just no cards released/activated from it.

Apple needs to approve the update and that includes all the contents like the Playoff cards. And to be fair, the first round is almost over because of all the teams getting swept.

Yea, it's crazy how last year there were 5 Game Seven's in the the first round and this year there might not even be one.

It's not the cards or the designs they care about, it's the licensing of the players' image and name.

I don't really think any of us can know how easy or difficult it is for them to make the cards. I doubt its as simple as just drag and drop lol but again, EVERY single addition of a new rarity of cards has required a client update so PO would be no different and AGAIN.... They've already stated there is more to this update than just a couple of bug fixes and a new tier. So cut them a bit of slack hahaha unless it takes longer than next week and then we riot.

I understand the app needs to be approved, that's not what my issue was about. It's about the schedule of which they submitted it. And even if all games went 7 games, the first round would be over by Sunday. It doesn't matter how many series get swept, if atleast 1 goes the full 7, and even at the latest, that 7th game would be this coming sunday.

Stop...they want to get everything right. You saw what introducing the AH beta did by not putting minimums on pros...their decisions have lasting effects on the game (as can be seen by the 3 stars per season win). They are just trying to get it right. That plus the introduction of new features (rumors of lock feature and chat capability), and trying to balance the domino effect of playoff cards...they have more to consider than just the introduction of playoff cards.

I'd rather they got it right, than did it fast. That being said....can't wait - Bart Scott

They actually DID make the PO cards ready, for teams that were possibly making the playoffs. So you're right, all they did is to "activate" the ones that are indeed made it to the playoffs on the very last day.

In terms of nerfing (such as 3/2), they were STILL "fixing" it last week, when Brad was saying something like "oh we are so close nerfing the 3/2) -- that said, they were still finding, and programming, a way to fix that problem. So apparently it may not be as easy as it sound to "fix" it in a way that doesn't piss everybody off -- at least to them. Also remember that the next update includes a lot more than what we have discussed here extensively -- the in-app chat function and such. Instead of updating one thing at a time to piss everyone off, they might as well update EVERYTHING as once.

As for RTTC and cards getting lock -- those are some minor stuff that can be fix / reprogrammed quite easily.

So just sit back, relax, and wait for the update.

It's not the cards or the designs they care about, it's the licensing of the players' image and name.

If they have NBAPA license; which i believe they do, then they have it for all the current players in the association at the moment. The only ones they have problems with are the past players.

And to the arguement of more to it than copying and pasting pictures onto predetermined templates where they can shift numbers back and fourth on stats and the team attributes just with a different picture; I'm pretty sure the system is designed that way and it is that easy.

I hope the update doesn't push until after RttC.

1. It will allow me to get my reset with minimal grinding. I'm 50 board clears into my last one.

2. I'm currently midway in a season and would like to get my last star reward before PO tier.

3. I don't have a shetload of spros and know it would be impossible to get the end reward with the new RttC nerf.

4. I can acquire a couple more dupes to help me get closer to PO seasons. I recently just got into star seasons.
