Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
But you bought them under the knowledge that you'd never be able to sell them. Getting anything back at all, is more than what you signed up for. Not sure how you could feel cheated by this.
And yeah, there's nothing stopping you from listing them advice min. I know I'm not selling for minimum.Comment

Ok, so you dont feel cheated or used by the fact that when they came out you couldnt resell them but had to pay top dollar for them, but now what some weeks later any old johnny come lately can get that same card for less than what you paid for, i could see if the cards were out since the beginning of the game but they werent, these cards are really still newGundamduo - MyNBA2k15

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
That'll only happen if someone sells them for less. No one here on the forum is gonna sell them for less than 6,000 or so and that's being generous. You're assuming worst case scenario across the board when in reality only a super small percentage will drop them for the min.Comment

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
First a general comment: People have complained that we lack the ability to set our own market prices, and now CD gives us that ability with the MVP cards and a bunch of people register accounts just to whinge?
You win in every possible way. You had the MVP cards before anyone else. You now get to sell the ones you didn't make pro via pack purchases and get credits back that were just sunk cost before, and you can even make more pros without having to spend nearly as many credits rolling the slot machine until a dupe comes up.
haha, now bro, your not missing anything, just agreeing that after spending 6500 credits to get at the time a exclusive card pack to see it being able to get for the cost of a single star card, i would feel cheated, thats all but for my 2 cents i could live with the bid price of 6200
Ok, so you dont feel cheated or used by the fact that when they came out you couldnt resell them but had to pay top dollar for them, but now what some weeks later any old johnny come lately can get that same card for less than what you paid for, i could see if the cards were out since the beginning of the game but they werent, these cards are really still new, if thats the case let me buy your mvp cards for less than what you paid for
These packs came with a clear warning that they could not be resold at the time you bought them. There was never any assertion that they would never be able to be resold. You got the use of the cards and now you get a ton of flexibility, and if you're at all smart you will capitalize on the initial rush and sell off your popular MVPs for a profit and make yourself a nice truck lineup for playoff seasons so you can be collecting Playoff cards faster than the rest of everyone.
You literally have a ton of positives from this decision, but all you can manage to do is whinge that you paid 6,500 credits months ago and someone might be able to pay less than you did once there's two tiers of vastly better cards available (PnP/HoF level and Playoff level).
You do realize that 8 of the 16 players in every Playoff tier season are going to get a FREE MVP card for 0 credits, which they can sell for a profit on the AH, right? If you really want to whinge that you paid 6,500 credits to gamble on cards that you knew were far from the top cards for this year ... maybe you should be whinging about all the people who are going to get them for free?
In case you missed the sarcasm in that last question: Stop your crying; aint' nobody here your momma and nobody here wants to read a grown man crying about something that actually benefits him.
Come back when you've had a moment to take your head out of the darkness and into the light and you've realized this change is a gigantic and unexpected net positive for you and that CD wasn't obligated to let you get anything back for those packs you bought. You ought to be washing their feet in gratitude instead of up here crying.

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
You know I've already explained the optimal strategy for the RttC, and answer questions for free right? I would bet any amount of credits that this jackhole is trying to sell my strat after reading it. I would assume that he could have figured it out himself, but anyone smart enough to figure it out themselves wouldn't be stupid enough to try and scam people out of credits for freely available info that was super obvious to anyone paying attention.
I mean ... I only posted it in case it wasn't obvious right away to people. Anyone who plays through an RttC probably arrives at roughly the same idea pretty quickly once they hit the wall, as it were.QG Tier: Legendary++

After HOF and P&P came out, I no longer saw the reason they needed to be unsellable. I said as much, and CD acquiesced. Gotta say I'm pretty happy.
If somebody comes along and buys them now, they already missed out on, what, 2 months of benefit from them, plus in the meantime since I got them, HOF/P&P came out AND got boosted... RC Pro expanded to 100 users, and now there's an entire tier above them now. They're definitely not buying the cards at the same value as I did. These cards have definitely lost value, so selling them for Star minimum really isn't that bad. And again... that's ignoring the fact that CD never had to make these actionable, and there's not much we could have ever said about it. Those were the terms we all knew when we bought. Unless you have KD as your lawyer, the terms you agree to, tend to be the ones you have to love with.
And again, I'm not selling for minimum. At least not in the beginning..
The desperate, thirsty people that play this game will be selling MVPs with buybacks within a week or two. Sellers in this game don't have the discipline to properly set a market. People are sooooooo desperate to sell, it's impossible for anything to hold value.Comment

They're not enough better than regular stars to warrant them as a buy up from lower tiers unless they are priced the same. People will go to the lowest priced stars to get into Playoff QG and seasons and then from there buy Playoff card dupes.
Anyone who can do a PO season will be picking up a Playoff card and a "Greats" card every other week from RttC, unless they aren't really playing or something (in which case they don't figure into MVP prices anyway). Presumably another 1-2k people will get a Playoff level card from the RC events on the alternating weeks.
There will be a short lived feeding frenzy on the MVP cards and then market pressure is gonna push them down to the minimum. Very popular MVP cards may retain a bit of a higher value, similar to how Star LeBron still goes above minimum ... but I don't see how most of them don't end up being unsellable pretty quickly (short of trades/buybacks and such).QG Tier: Legendary++

Re: MyTeam Mobile Discussion
I disagree. Since the top 2 in seasons get a PO card, and #3-8 get a HoF card (which will be hard to dupe), a lot of people who can't compete for PO will tank out in the 1st round and get MVP cards. There will be a pretty rapid decline in the price people will pay for any but the most popular MVPs, and I can't imagine them staying above minimum for all that long.
