Cue the mocking of my "essays" now. At least they're useful I hope. Once I get tired of grinding on Shaq for a bit, I'll be finalizing my guide and posting it.

I thought about waiting until this event was over, because I have a feeling I'm gonna get barraged with questions for the rest of the event ... but Jalen is so much easier than expected, and I expect a difficulty hike.

Of course, it could just be easier since we all got our decks better as much as we could to get into playoff seasons. I'm tired enough that I'm not sure I can really rationally decide whether it needs a difficulty hike or not. I mean ... my deck has a Leg Pro as its worst card ... so it's not like it's a terrible 25th card or anything ... but still.

No mocking at all! It's just ribbing in good nature, but they are helpful!

Oh man... you missed the welcome back party... I was giving out google play and Apple Store cards for free, i gave 2 Star Hot Streaks to 2 lucky forum members.. it was a blast.. Shame you missed it.

14 star pros guarantees that you can win enough events to beat +7 on Jalen.

I tend to disagree on that. I have 13 star pros and can win +5 on Jalen, but I also have a chance to lose. And you surely have a chance to lose on +7, so no guarantee here.

I myself have bought the big hot streak pack (was it 1000 creds?) in the beginning and played HS only. Did buy a few game nights, too, but usually the extra hour to wait between a full game night bar comes in handy to do some working. I'm going to mow the lawn in one of these pauses right now. ;-) The 1000 HS pack gives me the option to HS all +5 through Jalen, which should be happening at some point tomorrow. Then I'm going to decide if I lose myself through Shaq. Maybe not, as I'm pretty busy all Sunday.

What are you guys thinking about the playoff season rewards, btw?

I feel myself returned back to the time of legendary seasons, where the finalists got the star card, and everybody else got essentially nothing. A HoF card? An MVP card? I think that's pretty much nothing. Something to train away instantly. Why should I even bother to level those cards on the rare chance to get a dupe through some other event? It's playoff time, baby, and the old stuff is as interesting as yesterday's newspaper.

You would have to be incredibly unlucky to lose on +7 with 14 SPRos. The optimal strategy is to throw your weak cards out first, as the truck cards tend to show up earlier. The worst case scenario is that the first matchup is a single, followed by a double, which forces you to either lose the double intentionally and finish the quarter at -2 differential, or try to win it but risk getting trucked, which could lead to a -4 differential.

If you just lose it intentionally, it has to happen twice to force a tie (assuming you win all 10 other single matchups) and thrice to force a loss.

Like, it's obviously not 100%, but I think I only lost a couple times to Jalen +7, and it was while I was figuring out the best way to avoid the previously mentioned 5 really good cards it has.
