when you guys know you can't get top 2 in playoff tier, do you guys tank 1st round for MVP or just get the HOF. I'm not sure which I want to do

I'm in my second PO season and I know I can't get to the finals because of human lineups. I'm tanking for an MVP, like I did last season. As others have said, you can either sell or dupe it as HOF cards are still not sellable. I think it's worth tanking early, you can stop spending energy or credits once you get your record to about .500 and you get out way faster. Let's say you win your first and second rounds and then try really hard but lose in the conference finals, that's at least 8 extra hours. HOF also has way more cards in it so much harder to dupe compared to mvps, which are still a good upgrade if you are just making it into PO seasons.

So I am in the playoffs on the opposite side of the bracket as Leng, and I beat the folks on my side during the season so I just started using my boosts in the 2nd round in case the guy boosted.

1st game - Win by 18 (100 - 82)
2nd game - Loss by 8 (102 - 110)
3rd game - Loss by 1 (106 - 107)

In game 2 the computer played my big men in Playmaking quarter, gave my opponent two OFF quarters to my zero, and played guards in a Reb v. Reb quarter.

In game 3, I went into the 4th qtr. 4 points up, got OFF/PM vs. DEF/PM and lost with Kawhi/Curry against Lowry/Maravich by a 5 point margin to lose the game by one point.

Sometimes this game makes me WTF. I should have had an easy round past this guy and an easy Semis against the next guy and then a beating in the finals ... instead I'm looking like I'm going to get RNG screwed into a worthless card.

*sigh*

Doesn't show that way to me. Want a screenshot? According to CD, there's a display bug on what you see. Who knows which is accurate, but I'm happy to take screenshots so you can see what the game output looks like to me.

These close losses with guards playing Def/Reb and big men playing PM quarters and stuff is ridiculous.

Also, if you see someone from the forum and you play possum and look non threatening during the reg season, say something man. I'd have rather just lost on purpose and got an MVP to sell and started another season with my Giannis and Griffin pros in the lineup. The only reason I didn't tank out was because you looked like you weren't going to compete.

You should get to the finals now, so grats on your playoff card. Next time just say something in chat though. I didn't spend anything since boosts are more common than venereal disease in a cat house, but seriously an HoF card is the worst possible outcome from nearly 5 days.
