define "off topic". My definition is anything that isn't NBA-related. It is the mod's problem if they don't allow discussion related to REAL NBA players, teams, games, etc. My only problem is when some people here talk about something completely irrelevant, now THAT is off topic.

And I ditto whoever the guy saying about how "teamline" is always brought up by some of the current members. If your entire post is just like "We are #TEAMLINE" -- I don't see how post like this particular line related to NBA or the game for that matter. And I consider the post itself is off-topic.

Edit: My problem with off-topic gets bigger when I have +20 pages to read in a few hours that has tons of irrelevant posts, every day too (that wasn't the case before mid/late May).

I wanted to bring it up because a. People were asking what this LINE group was, and b. How come this forum is so "dead" compared to weeks past.



And I wanted to explain the reasons why things are the way they are. There are newer members who may very well be a great contribution to this forum, but there are also "new" members who are just here to scam/troll. It's also unfortunate because technically scamming is not a violation of the EULA/TOS for this particular site...but that's a conversation for another time.



Also, "In my opinion I'd rather be reading people's off topic opinion about NBA post season (like what happen a few months ago) than about some random elite gamer group." Trust me, I rather do that too, but SOME people were complaining about it and also having side conversations to mods about this specific thread, so we decided to be safe than sorry.

Have no problem with the off topic convos. As long as we're not talking about Kim Kardashian's new butt implant line or something like that. This place can be dead at times and certain interesting topics liven it up.

If you want to talk basketball, BR always has plenty of articles to comment on. There are plenty of trolls on there but there are also some quality posts.

yeah. these sites are make profit by traffic. So losing alot of the views hurts the bottom line as well.

Plus who thinks the Heat can take the Cavs next year (if Wade and Bosh stay Healthy)
