When you win a legendary season you become a skybox elite member, and after that CD puts out a few of the best cards on AH for those skybox members to bid on, such as MVP Jordan with 4 specs, MVP Iverson with 4 specs, and this week is RC Melo with 4 specs.

as much as many people dislike it, CD's first smart move in creating a healthy economy in AH was to limit the types of cards that could be sold. unlike in 2k15 where RC or RttC over saturated the AH with duplicate cards, this move actually created slightly more value to cards in the AH that could help pro rewards.

what's causing card prices to drop isn't really the amount of cards on the market, but the fact that players progress through tiers over time and lower tier cards become meaningless to them.

in other words, once the majority of people are in legendary, UR and below will cease to sell (other than training fodder) and epic and legendary will start to sell around min.

I agree with most of this, but you left out a key component to the equation...RP. The first RC came and went and took probably hundreds of millions of RP with it. RP that some had saved almost a month. With every RC, we will see a hit to the economy. Players grind more thus draft more resulting in greater supply on AH. Couple that with HS sucking the currency out of the system and you will once again have a struggling AH.

Spending RP on hotstreaks is so pointless. People spent all that RP to get top 25 to basically get a foil Bosh which really isn't worth it as top 100 was easily achievable without buying hotstreaks

Yeah you can also draft them from the board and to buy RP you need to buy credits which can be converted into RP(not sure on the cost though).
