Drop the cost of the more expensive packs. No way am I paying $40 for a single card. Also, it now cheapens the other packs, so now I'm expected to pay $20 for a pack where I'm likely to get a card that's only in the third best tier?

There definitely needs to be a reduction in cost of the legendary and epic packs. $40 for a single card is just ridiculous, especially when it's only a chance at a top tier card. The most expensive pack should be $25 max. And even then, that's still asking a bit too much for virtual cards. There are many cheaper games to invest our time and money into with vast amounts of content. The way I look at DLC is "how much content am I getting for my investment?" It's a stretch to think that one $40 card is anywhere near the amount of content people get when comparing to other games' DLC and season passes. In fact, $40 will get you an entire game with hundreds of hours of content. Season passes and DLC are usually $15 or less. I guarantee CD would sell alot more credits if they cut the cost of credits or packs across the board by 50% or more. Expand your market, CD, by cutting the costs of packs/credits.

I mean, just doubling the price of an already over priced pack because it has a higher tier card? I know for sure there will be another tier of cards and they'll probably put that pack out at $80 a card.

Hey, lets not take it too hard on them to the point of putting shame on the company, Sure the prices are quite expensive, but I think that they did some hard work into the development of the game, and yes we can ask for a lower price (I am asking for that too actually, maybe as a new years or christmas promo , like 50% off on all deals, and if they are more successful eith the business with the sale then thay kepp it forever) BUT Do not take it so far as too insult them.

As Ive noticed, per year there is always a new feature to every MYNBA2K and it is always beneficial to us and you, So I have a suggestion , a new feature, maybe you can add it next year or this or whenever it pleases you,

I call it a MYTEAM Gamemode, Where you form a team (12 people) . And face off an opposing team of different people and another team, The game is played with Quick games and the the will face the opposin team, The team that gets more quick game wins Will get the higher award/prize. It wil be your choice if you, Catdaddy, decides to put a consequence when a game of 2 teams is lost, (Like for EX. My team lost to the other team so 1win will be deducted from my team). It will also be in your decision if you will add a price to form a team (ex.100 credits or 200) or free. There will be a leader, the one who first forms the team, and Co leader 1-2 ( or only a Leader, as it is a suggestion to add Coleaders). And matchmaking is random but I suggest to pair teams with other teams of the same level. And to get players to your team , you can either recruit players or players can join your team with your aproval so the leader will get to see the applicators cards, this is also why I sugges to add a leaderboard for all the teams (EX. FOR the newly created Teams, they will be first shown on the section of "Recently Created Teams" and there can be other sections for Top Ten or 100 from last tournament and so on.

This is so other players can interact with each other and not to just fight each other in RC OR QuickGames or Season, But they can have some fun with teaming with each other and to get rewards. Also you, Catdaddy can get a profit if you decide to put a price to create a Team.

since the update, the price for a pack with a chance for a player of the highest tier (now "star"-level) has doubled! this is insane! last year when they introduced the new "playoff" tier, the price for a pack with a chance for a playoff level card remained the same as it was before for a chance to get a legendary player.

this year they just doubled the price. and of course 5 min after the update went live and the maintenance ended there were lots of bots already sporting fully trained (even pro versions!) of the new star tier players. come on.
please lower the prices to a reasonable level. it was a rip-off before, now it's just insane. in europe it's now roughly 35 EUR for most likely a legendary player, which is (as of now) roughly 42 US-$.

so maybe my point is rather:
if these top tier cards are so hard to obtain and so hilariously expensive, why are bots sporting them as if they fall from trees? it's just not fun if you lose against bots all the time who just get equipped with these top tier cards you will never get.

I also think that all overpowered bots should be removed. That seems to me as simply just a way to screw all of your loyal players out of getting a card they have earned the right to get for free. To have us pay almost $150 to not even get 3 of the highest tier cards, does that not make you feel some what bad or greedy, and then throw bots so that they are guaranteed to not get one of those for free, this to me just seems wrong and flat out greedy.

OK, sorry if I am wrong, I have only read the last couple pages in this thread, lol, so my apologizes if I bothered you.

On a serious note, has their been any progress on the auction house, or would anyone have a clue? I believe this may be why the cards are so overpriced right now. It is all about greed. That is why it is so hard to win the finals. Bots jump in and kill your chances at getting the most expensive cards. It sucks to get to the finals then lose to a bot that they set up to where it always gets the plays called that gives them more points than you.

I think I am done giving CD money until the AH is working, except for maybe hot streaks, or possibly a record breaker pack. I was too busy to really play the RC's hard so far this year. I feel bad for all whom grinded so hard just to only have your Larry and Superman cards be able to be beat by a fully upgraded star card. It is hard for me to complain, though. I bought 2 leg to star packs and got a star from both (Mourning's Heat and Shawn Kemp[2 of my all time favorites). I would had probably quit the game completely if one wasn't at least a star or dupe.

CD really pulled through this morning for me when my season ended. I was rewarded a legendary CP3, in which I can dupe! Yeah baby, thanks CD.

I do not know about the rest of you, but the first pack I have bought of each kind was always a card from the highest tier level. Just thought that I would let the ones who have never bought a pack through them (not counting the free bitcoin from ladder rewards) know this. I figure it would either work for everyone, or else I am the luckiest dude alive on that front.

Has everyone else got the highest tier card from their first pack of each kind? I would like to know before I get a record breaker pack. If so, I will probably buy a record breaker, otherwise, I will hold off.

It helps to not be passive aggressive in your posts, especially pertaining to things like 'greed' when you don't know anything about it and you're just making assumptions. Companies have to make money to survive, no one is forcing you to buy anything, and obviously some people think the price point is okay and have/continue to buy the cards. If you don't think it's worth it to you, that's your choice but it has nothing to do with greed.

Also, bots rarely if ever make it to the FINALS of seasons, players who just refresh your team almost always make it to the quarterfinals and that's the end of bots. so if you're losing in the finals, you're losing to a player, not a bot. Sorry to break it to ya. Also, the bots don't get favored treatments of which plays get called, it's random. We all lose, lets not get crazy/paranoid about bots being used to cheat you from getting cards. CD is perfectly fine, with 1 guy out of 30+ players getting 1 above current tier card every 5-6 days. it drives their business, they have no incentive to cheat players out of the rewards, they're there for a reason.

He's right about the bots. Chances are, if you've been beaten in the finals, it's probably by a human, not a bot. Bots help make seasons tolerable. They pretty much guarantee that if you keep up with shuffling or energizing your players, you'll make the playoffs and be rewarded with a half-decent reward.

As for the "greed" comment, keep complaining. Seriously. Just keep it fair and be willing to accept the ultimate decision. CD is a business and they have thick skin. Last year, they priced the top tier at $20/card. This year they've doubled that. If enough people complained or didn't purchase cards, they would adjust it accordingly. It sounds like enough people have purchased legendary/star packs to justify their decision. Who knows, maybe they'll introduce a $50 or $60 pack next. As long as the consumer is willing to pay, they'll keep increasing the price point. You and I dictate the market, CD just sets the prices.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but pretty often in seasons, my team will play a support card in the wrong place, or not at all, even when a scenario pops up that could use it.

I've been using Full Court Press (UR, +15 Team DEF), and more often than not (maybe even always, but I haven't looked that closely), my team will play that card when my OPPONENT has Defense as a category, instead of when my team does.

I'll have OFF as my category, and the DEF support will be played. Sometimes, I'll have DEF as my category, and nothing gets played at all.

Is this by design (since player cards played in season seem to generally be random), or is this an error?
