v1.18 Update Releasing on May 5th

We will be releasing the new update on May 5th in the morning PST time. There will be a couple hours transition time where the client will be available from your app stores, but the server will not have the data changed with all the new changes yet. This is because the clients hit different Internet mirrors at different times around the world, so we cannot require the client right away. At noon though we will be requiring the new client (that should give enough time for the client to be propagated) and pushing all the server data changes at that time. So, drop rates, reward changes, etc. will not be in effect until 12pm.


This does affect the Rivals Clash Pre-Game timing (not the gameplay timing). We will not be releasing the Pre-Game information in game until after 12pm on Monday (normally we release it on Sunday). The Rivals Clash event will start gameplay though as normal on Tuesday, 12:01am PST. This will allow us to do not only the new rank tiers, but also new rewards for Rivals.

Surprise rewards? Huh, what, where? The new update may have a surprise or two. The NBA Playoffs are sure a fun time!

NWGD, if I start a season today or tomorrow then get the update on Monday. When the season ends on Wednesday, do I get the old season rewards or the new rewards? Thanks

You should but no guarantees. Saving picks is not a supported feature and something we do not recommend because of that. If you do lose saved picks there is nothing we can do to help you.

Is there info about what's in this patch somewhere? I haven't been playing until an update to season rewards comes out; that's where I like to play and it's not been worth it for a long time.

The new update has been pushed to the stores. It may take a couple hours for it to propagate, so keep checking your app store to grab the new update.


Here's the complete build notes for v1.18:






·Introducing the Playoffs tier of cards! Playoffs cards are better than Legendary cards.


·Added dozens of new historic Legendary cards.


·Added a new Legendary Card Pack that drops Legendary and Playoffs cards.


·Lowered the price of Epic Packs.


·Increased the drop rate of Epic and Legendary cards on the Draft Board.


·Playoffs cards now drop from the Draft Board.


·Rewards for Season games improved across the board.


·Increased the drop rates of Uncommon, Rare, and Epic cards in Team Packs, Player Packs, Player 6 Packs, and Division 6 Packs.


·Increased the rewards in new Rival Clash Events to account for Playoffs cards.


·Raised the Card Collection cap to 120 cards.


·Improved the Card Catalog interface.


·Bug Fixes:


oThe New Orleans Hornets players will now appear under their correct team.


oYou should no longer lose your Catalog when jumping between MyGame and MyTeamMobile.


oOther minor bug fixes


These changes to pricing, new cards, drop rates, etc. all take place at 12pm, PST. We have to push out the client first because in order for these changes to work we need to require the new client, so we had to get it on the app stores first.
