Combine cards before using them to train?

When "feeding" commons and uncommons to my rares, I'm often unsure whether to combine my duplicate commons/uncommons before using them to train. Does a Pro version give 2x the experience of its non-Pro version? My Pro cards *seem* to grant more experience, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know?

Here's what I do. Not sure if it's the right/fastest way, but it's worked well for me.

Get cards to level up. I don't put mine in my lineup until they're maxed, that's just me. Fill up your hand to max. Combine common/uncommons (at level 1) to make space. Fill up hand to max again (will take a lot less time.) Combine new common/uncommons. Rinse and repeat until your hand is full and you can't combine anything.

Train whatever card with all pro commons/uncommons (and rares once you move into the higher tiers and rares don't mean anything to you anymore.) Save all non-pros. Go back to step 1.

Thanks. So it sounds like you do think that Pros give more experience than non-Pros. I *think* that's right; I'm just not sure Pros give 2x or more XP than non-Pros do. If Pros give, say, 1.5x XP, then it would seem more efficient just to train with non-Pro cards more frequently. Maybe I should do a careful test, watch the XP bar with a Pro vs non-Pro card.

It gives a slight bit over double the XP. At least, it did in Supercard. I'm sure it works the same way here.

For me, Pro'ing them to train is the only way I will train. Waste of XP for me otherwise.

Ah, if it's more than 2x the experience, then you're right, combining is the only way to go. Thanks!

I believe its barely more than double. It shouldn't make too much of a difference but you might as well get the extra xp. Its going to add up.
Common cards give 21 xp each, pro commons give 45 xp each. Its 3 more than double. I like the strategy mentioned above though. Should get me some extra xp and help fill out the catalog.

Yeah trust me, the XP adds up. It's definitely worth your time to combine. I'm a collector myself. I created a spreadsheet to help with collecting. I'll be happy to share it. Just PM me your e-mail.

Keith - it appears that I don't have sufficient privileges to PM, so I can't send you one. Can you please post the spreadsheet as a google doc on this message board?

I have started doing this since this thread was posted. I find it is a lot easier to train this way.
