Re: Season Mode Strategies
The guy I beat in the Finals had cards above my tier (multiple) and the guy who STOMPED me 4-0 in finals had cards all in tiers lower than me, but I wasn't as dedicated that season and he was so he leveled his up so high all his guys beat out mineComment

Re: Season Mode Strategies
I'm 1-2 in season FINALS and am 43-0 in my fourth season in the Epic tier now in season mode. (Epic ++ in quick game)
I have a great strategy to this game but I am not ready yet to post it...
I am shocked no one else has but I figure the ones who have beat me have figured it out too and they aren't speaking up either.
Just all I can say is try different variations to you lineup choices for your 15 and whether or not to max out your player or not....Comment

Re: Season Mode Strategies
Now what do you do if you are in the Sr tier and super close to the next tier but u feel you cards are not ready for the next tier. If you level your untrained Ur, would this bump you into the next tier and Consequently get trashed in the next season?Comment

Re: Season Mode Strategies
Hi,
I didn't tried it yet, but wouldn't the following strategy work ?
You put low rating players, maybe even common at 1 (maybe 2) position. Then you fill the rest with your best players while staying on the top of your team power without moving to the next level.
Basically this mean at your "weak position" you're losing the quarter(s), but at your other postions you are stronger than the rest of the league
As an example with fake numbers :
let's say you play in a rare season. You have 4 positions with rares players with an average rating of 150, and 1 position with a common player with an average rating of 60, while the rest of the league have balanced team with 5 position with average rating of let's say 120-130.
Your 60 player will lose all his quarter, your 150 players will win all of them.
As said I didn't try it, just wondering if it would workComment

Re: Season Mode Strategies
Q: How exactly do Season Games play out?
In a Season Game, each team has 10 active players used in the game. The 5 players on the bench are never used and just gain energy from resting on the bench.A Season Game consists of 4 quarters. One event happens per quarter. The event is then played by 2 of your players.
Your players are laid out by position, a Starter and a Back Up in each position. The AI will use Starters first in an event.Once a Starter has been used, it cannot be used again until their Back Up has been used in an event.Effectively they swap places after each use (in your UI though they will not switch positions). When the AI selects players to use in an event it chooses the 2 best players from the 5 “front” players.
The winner of each quarter is determined by how many points are scored by your 2 players. The team with the highest score at the end of all 4 quarters wins the game.
How do you guys interpret this? I just played a season game in which my Gerald Green is my highest ATH and he's a starter (5th best overall in lineup). The first quarter was ATH, and he never came out at any point in the game. How does this make any sense?Comment

My guess is a weighted algorithm of some sort is used to decide randomly who gets played. I.e. It'll pick 1 of your best X (logically speaking, X is probably between 4 and 6) for the category but not always the best (kinda like QG). With your best likely having a higher % of being played, 2nd best = 2nd highest, X = lowest.
Also don't put too much stock into the "scores" of each player, i'm guessing each quarter is treated as a whole so the score beside each player makes no difference.Comment

Also there's always the chance your commons gets played in 2 different quarters and you end up losing both those quarters. Lose any of the quarters with your "best" cards and you end up losing the game still. Doing it for 1 spot still means you'll be evenly matched in a couple other quarters... basically you're giving up a free win when you DON'T have any control over which card gets played when.
Also there is an argument of rather you want a bench or you don't. Personally i have a normal bench (as in my 11-15th best cards) and i have won 2 seasons, got 2nd in my other 2 (total 4 seasons). In first place for my 5th season and likely won't finish any worst than 2nd (only 1 team is a threat to me, #1 seed with 1 lost, besides the other team having 4 or 5 lost, all the rest have 20+ and really aren't a threat unless they weren't playing their best cards against me in our vs. games). I rotate 5 players as often as i can 'cause realistically i'm not going to play 10 games inbetween each season game (not even in the playoffs). I would rather sleep or do other things than spend 5-7 minutes every hour playing 10 games. Only time i'll consider playing games inbetween each season game is during the finals (and i have each time, 2 of my finals actually went 7 games).Comment

Re: Season Mode Strategies
I'm not going to give out too much of my own personal startegy but I have noticed some things that may be random. First, I noticed that some of the guys who had decent hands in Quick Games even an Epic card or 2, did not appear to have them in their season lineups. Also, why is it that guys who have Epic cards not take the time to still "stack the deck" in the Season mode?? I don't know if it's considered cheese or not but I have nothing less than Ultra Rare maxed starters. 4 of my backups are (pro) Super Rares maxed out and my bench are all (pro) Rare cards maxed. For the heck of it I do sometimes put a few reserve(inactive) cards in if Im busy or working and know I cant play too many Quick games for energy.Comment

Re: Season Mode Strategies
Not too complain, I love the card game plus 2K15 next gen, but I would love it if winning a Championship in Season mode meant that you win all of the prizes from each of the previous rounds also. I mean seriously, 82 games plus another minimum of 20 games if you were to blow out each opponent in the Playoffs. I won the Championship and was somewhat disappointed. Highly addictive though.Comment

I agree that playoff and regular season waste a lot more time than needed... more so when 1 series goes 7 games and everyone is waiting for it. Lucky for me, my last season had 2 rounds of complete sweeps and 6 games round 1 (2 series) and the finals went 5 (i won 1 game but lost the next 4... pretty much had no chance considering i was facing someone with at least 7 Epic/UR Pro and i only had 3). Tho i did get lucky, getting 2nd got me 2 UR that match 2 other (and to make things even better the 1 slot was one i had a 3 slot and the 3 slot was one i had 1 slot for so both became 3 slot UR Pros lol). Considering i only had like 6 UR at the time, the odds of that are probably next to 0.That also got me to QG Epic so i got an Epic freebie (and now a freebie season somewhere with by far the best team, likely 98-0, haven't even lost a game while nor any team remotely comparable to mine when i faced them.).
Probably means my 3rd season win and 4th Epic.
There really needs to be some twist in the regular season to make it more meaningful. I target a top 4 seed mostly so i likely have a freebie round 1 (and i time my round 1 so its pretty much when i'll be asleep). Besides that, there really isn't any meaning to the regular season. The playoffs having say 6 or 7 teams waiting for 2 teams to finish also makes little sense. CD could speed things up by saying starting series that are ready as they get ready and only holding up those not ready. If nothing else, odds are it might save a few hours if one team holds up one round and a different holds up another (often the case).Comment
