Some questions about packs

I am a first year player and learned how to play this game way too late in the amount of time I've put in.

I'm 3000+ QG in and only have 1 epic a few regular UR and a few maxed pro SR. I decided today for $5 I can upgrade pretty significantly because I've been in a rut since getting into UR+ territory. (like weeks without a significant boost)

Anyway, which pack should I go for? I don't want to spend more than the 600 for $5 and have 420 right now saved. So I guess my question is what seems to have the best odds? Does my rank/games played have anything to do with my draw? I got the 500 pack twice and the 2nd time around was a much better pull than my first. Is that because I was better the 2nd time or just luck?

In my experience it's all been luck. If you play everyday and get the daily VC bonus, I would keep saving for the Epic pack. It's totally worth it and will really boost up your team. Playing through a season is a good way to get some good cards if you're stuck at a certain level.

rank or games played have nothing to do with the cards you get from packs. personally i would not purchase anything except an Epic Pack, MAYBE a Ultra rare pack if you are desperate. Playing quick games or season mode or the Rivals clash events are the best ways to get cards

Maybe I've gotten lucky, but I've got 2 Epics from 4 500 packs. Is that lucky or is that about right?
