We’re happy to announce two major features coming in our next Update for MyNBA2K15. We’re trying to get the update released prior to Christmas, but do not have a specific date of release yet.
First, we’ll be releasing a new rarity called Star. This rarity will introduce dozens of new cards including several favorite players who are not in the game yet (e.g. Patrick Ewing, Shawn Kemp, and Kevin McHale). The Star cards will be better than Legendary cards, much like Legendary cards are better than Epics. You will be able to advance in QuickGame to Star, Star+, and Star++ tiers now and pull the new cards from the board, new pack offers, and from Season rewards. Additional Star rarity cards will be introduced over the next few months during Rival Clash events.
Second, we’re introducing a special pack call the Throwback Thursday Pack. You’ll be able to buy 1 TBT Pack each week for a special low price on Thursdays only. The pack will contain Rare to Epic historic players like Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and a young Kobe Bryant. These cards will be fully Pro-able and you’ll be able to buy and sell them on the Auction House once the AH is available.
