The 20 credits listing fee is absolutely fine, for the free players there should be a few more opportunities to grab a few credits but the system as is is completely acceptable.

The 30% tax however is a bit steep for me, 15-20% is the upper limits of what I think the tax should be, simply because it lessens the ability to work your credits until you can snag a high-priced card - especially as I do not believe CD will minimum price the Legs and Stars at the same price as their respective card packs.

Also, the worry about cards not selling falls flat for me, just buying a single draft pick costs 50 credits, and we've been told before that people love to buy more picks. So I think all cards will sell, even lowly Rares and SR's, they might not rake in a lot of dough but they will sell.

I know NWGD said Draft Picks sell... something tells me sales of Draft Picks took a sharp decline when they put the confirmation message in before just taking your credits. I bought more than a few draft pucks last year, and they were ALL on accidental taps.

Maybe, but I'm not overly worried about cards selling, the need for dupes to pro at every level is huge, so people will buy those cards. I myself am at UR++ with two epics (un proed from the RC) UR Pro and two UR's and I'm not at Epic, I'll be hunting some UR dupes on day one. Then I'll start selling off my surplus SR's/UR's to boost my wallet and then begin working on the next level.

As the famous line in Auction, "AS IS", let's just accept it "AS IS" and enjoy the game. If you don't want to spend credits, just play your existing cards and wait for your resets, draft pull and season rewards to upgrade your LU.

You say that not knowing how much they cost though. If UR's cost 800 to be competitive with the pack price, I don't think anyone will be in the market for them.

I could bet it will be more than pack cost as you receive some specific card you need instead of a random one.

The Epic pack costs 1200 for a UR or Epic. I think it's fine for UR to cost less.

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta

I´d really liked the idea of the Auction House, but as it stands right now, I am unsure if it will working.
To me, everything is depending on the minimum price of a card. My guess is, that this one will be to high. Which means, that not enough guys will spend credits on Super Rares or Ultra Rares.

I´ve just started the game a few weeks ago, never was thinking about buying credits and double-checked the prices today.
50 € for 6.500 Credits? The saving between buying 2.500 credits three times and 6.500 Credits once? 2€.

That is to me not looking like a balanced systems. It looks more like a system where some idiots spend a hilarious amount of money to get some higher valued cards.
And if the minimum price is based on the pack prices (which I think), the Auction House is dead before it is even breathing (at least for me).

Important to say, I am not complaining about it. As I said, I just started the game and I am quite happy with my proceeding so far. Auction House would have been another option to get dupes or something like that, but I really don´t mind.
If there is no market for my Ultra Rares and Super Rares, I simply use them for boosting my deck, wait for the next Rivals Clash and hope for some more Epics.

The game is free, but paying for one higher valued card something around 20 - 50 € looks crazy to me. I bought 2k15 brandnew for 29€. I don´t see any reason why I should invest the same or higher amount into an app.
I understand the reason why CD is doing it, because there is an market for it.

Some of us don´t like the idea, but at least there are more than enough guys who will spend money on it. For whatever reason, I don´t get it. But it is part of the business, and I really don´t like that part. Cause to me it looks more like generating more money out of basically nothing. Create a demand instead of creating a great product.
But that is just my opinion - gaming has changed, and I really don´t like that change.
But as long as there are enough guys who spend hundred of Euros, Dollars or whatever in virtual coins, Donuts, Credits, Fifa Points or however you call it, nothing will change.
Cause it is pretty easy to make some money that way.

Re: Update 5 Release Notes and Auction House Beta

Will it really matter how high the minimum bid is?

I have two LeBron Legs, one from Miami, one from Cleveland. I assume that both cards are going to have the same trade value in the AH. So I buy a Cleveland LeBron and sell my Miami Lebron, to make it a Leg Pro. My "exchange costs" are: 30% * Minimum Bid. And that's the formula for all cards.

Don't know if it really turns out to be like this. We'll know in a few days...

It won't matter if you buy credits. But it would matter to free players since they probably won't have enough saved from the lots of credits ladder rewards give out (NWGamedad said that) but actually just totals 4100 credits if you reach 75000 games played. And also daily rewards of credits for those who have a NBA2k15 account.

Most free players will probably have a max of 1600 (10,000 games) that might get you 1 epic card.

Well, then sell cards before you buy cards.

Well let me clear few things.

First of all I'm one of the first people who complained about the update. I admit I wrote my message in a haste without understanding what is going on. I am not a owner of PC/Console game and I never get daily rewards which I never complained before. You can see that I got 0 credits in every card drop picture I post into this forum. Yet this is my problem. I don't own a credit card and I cannot buy any credits (I am actually glad about that because if I had I could have spent alot )

From that point I will need play 40k more games to get credits from next ladder reward which is not going to happen any time soon.

After explaining that situation I see that it is unique to me. Most of the people get their daily rewards and it is perfectly logical to put 20 credits price for auctioning a card to prevent the overload of the cards in AH and I'am completely agree with %30 tax simply because buying packs and hotstreaks was the two main sources of the revenue of this game and now they are giving up from that. So asking %30 tax from their point of view is not too much.

I said I will quit the game but I will not and I will figure out a way to buy credits. I was too negative in the beggining but as I keep on reading everything made sense so I thank to everybody who posted in here.

I guarantee that you are not the only one who has less than 20 credits, and doesn't get VC rewards. The game is, after all, extermely popular on Google Play. Not every one of those downloads comes from an NBA 2k player.

I also don't think you are the only one who balks at having to play 40k games to get a credit reward.

With that said, this is the way it is, and I think it's perfectly fine. I have no problems with the AH being treated as "paywall content" even if, "technically", it is not*.

                              * Unless, of course, you are a brand new player!
