There are guys who are asking for Training fodder with buyback - that is the same dumb question. As training fodder is selling pretty easy without any buyback.

But still, if you ask the right guys they might sell it with buyback...

Wow, I would never have expected a ****storm of several pages because of an offer in a thread that's exactly there for. I might be a tough negotiator, but I have allways been honest and keeping my word when making deals and I threated people here with respect (if someone thinks that I was disrespectful to him in the past, I'm sorry for that). I don't force anyone to make deals with me and I'm not cheating/tricking on people. If you don't like my offer, ignore it. Or deny it. I've also seen offers on these AH threads that I didn't like but I never mocked anyone because of that because I respect people's grind for credits and cards, I know how difficult and time-consuming it is to earn credits from experience. Everyone here is trying to make good deals the way he can and as long as you are honest and don't trick people, this is legitimate.
About the Tim Duncan star card: I didn't know that it is such a valuable card. It's an offense-heavy card with a bad rebound stat at positions where you need rebound in the first place. In fact it's a slightly better version of Blake Griffin, who is considered a bad card in the community as far as I know. By looking at the AH I saw cards of Duncan only for the minimums. So I had reason to assume that he is not that valuable. And if he was more valuable, I would have seen it by whether I get offers for him per PM or not. So by setting the buyback high I just wanted to check the market and see what people are expecting for him. I'm not an expert in this game like some others here on this forum, I don't know the values of all the players in the game. I got a McHale for 2500 buyback just a couple of days before, which is actually a "light" version of Duncan. So I thought I'd try with an offer of 2500 buyback, which of course is just a starting point. When you negotiate you have your expectations, your dealing partner has his own expectations and just because I start with 2500 doesn't mean that I'm not willing to buy him for 2000 or 1500 buyback, or even 1000. Also with the PO-tier coming I thought that people are willing to sell their singles for less in order to quickly get enough pros to get to PO-seasons.
All in all, I think that I didn't deserve such a ****storm for such a normal post.

What is the sense of your post anyway? You are critisizing my action and that "people" (which I belong to, I guess) don't know much about something. But by making a starting offer I wanted to check the market. This was part of the learning process, I wanted to see how much Duncan is worth and what people are OK to sell him for, so I can know more about the AH. So you are actually critisizing me for not knowing something, while at the same time critisizing me for learning about that something - stupid.

I remember you looking for a 3k buyback for a Hardaway just recently... Also Klay V2 is probably the best card in the game, you can't compare him to an offense-heavy PF/C. As I stated above, I didn't expect Duncans value to be high. I also had reason for it, as explained above. So what's wrong about trying to get a good deal? I didn't have any bad intentions. If the offer does its job and I get the card I want for a good price, what's dumb about it?
And these "phrases" are more than just phrases, there is much philosophy in them. By asking you are expressing your willingness to learn. How can wanting to learn be dumb? You can only accuse someone if he didn't try to think himself and let others do the thinking for him, for example if someone is asking because he is too lazy to think himself. But I did make my thoughts about the card, I compared it with cards with similar stats and looked for auctions in the AH. Also my aim was to get a good deal, which worked out. There is nothing dumb about it. By generalizing you are actually dropping phrases yourself.

It's OK, maybe I overreacted. But you can't deny that it's a ****ed up situation when you get home after a couple of hours in college looking forwart to some nice offers and then see 1 1/2 pages of people dissing your offer, although there are plenty of offers in this forums that doesn't seem logical from the point of view of someone who knows much about the game.

I don't blame Bull for getting defensive. When you have a couple guys posting "sarcastic" remarks after one individual, its human nature for that individual to get defensive. Bull posted his side of the story with a few sarcastic remarks himself. So is he wrong for taking shots at someone who was taking shots at him? I don't care who is right or wrong, ganging up on one dude is not a way to go about it.

I guess it depends on how chill you are. Most people I know would be humored by the sarcasm, not greatly offended.
