    NWGameDad; please reconsider!

    So,

I see that the next big update is going to bring the AH in for real (cool, although the cut is a bit steep. I suppose you gotta keep people buying credits for packs tho rite?).

I also see that you are going to make changes (which you won't give info on) to the way Quick Games and RC games work, so that the strategy of 3 great cards and 2 whites is no longer workable.

I think you should reconsider that as something to do for next year's version. How many people are already in Legendary or Star level because they were able to use that knowledge?

Why do you want to make the barrier for competing with the established players even more of a barrier?

Take my team, for example. I've given you guys about $200 for credits, roughly. That yielded 2 Legendary cards and 6 epic cards (3x Paul Pierce, 1 Tracy McGrady, Luol Deng and Marcin Gortat for epics, Serge Ibaka and Blake Griffin for Legendaries). That's not a whole lot of bang for my buck, and even with those cards, my lineup doesn't crack Epic level for QG/RC games, nor can I even come close to epic in seasons to try and improve my deck.

I am going to try and dump like 10+ hours a day into this next Rivals Clash, in hopes I can get into the 2x Legendary Rondo tier and end up making a pro version after a lot more grinding. Perhaps at that point I'll have enough to get up another tier, but even then, it's still a LONG way to go to get from Epic through Epic+, Epic++, Legendary, Legendary+, Legendary++ and into Star.

And you want to change how the game works and make that process harder for those of us who got into this late. It just doesn't make sense to me that you let part of the community profit majorly from the way you programmed the app, and now those of us who got the app late (and in my case, supported the heck out of you because I support things I enjoy) are not only still left way behind, but it's going to be considerably harder to ever catch up.

This is the sort of change you make between versions, not to an update of the current version. I can't be the only one who feels a bit cheated that I dropped money to speed up catching up and now the target is getting moved significantly farther away from me.

    Best Regards,
    SmartForce

    Re: NWGameDad; please reconsider!

To be honest, they won´t consider that.
And I can tell you why. Because guys like you and many others spend hundreds of dollars for a few cards.
To earn money is for them low hanging fruits. Because you buy some kind of virtual currency which is nothing worth.
As soon as they shutdown the servers, all your progress is gone. They want more money for a stupid card, than for NBA 2k15.

You can get everything in this game, but you have to invest a lot of time. And most people won't do that. And they know it exactly. Read his answers on the questions, everything is pointing into one direction.
I am only willing to spend money if I get something in return. If I buy NBA 2k15 I can sell it.
If I buy credits, they are gone. There is no way back (sure you can thing about sell that stuff on eBay for real money).

I would buy some credits, if I get something in return. But the amount you have to spend is in my opinion way too high.
I´ve already wrote it somewhere else, take away the NBA license, what would this app be worth? Nearly nothing.
And as long as it is a rip-off to buy credits, I am not willing to buy them. But as I said earlier, their is no need to change their model.
It is working and it is generating a lot of money.

      Re: NWGameDad; please reconsider!

      Background / Position
I stared playing in December, I played some of Mynba2k14 so I had a few of the Ultra Rares that they gifted us. I am not of the same opinion that removing the 3/2 weakens the game. I am of the opinion that the Legendary / Star pack isn't the best option. The MVP pack was much better. I did buy many of the MVP packs because of their value of winning a Star.

      3/2 topic
I haven't used the 3/2 line up and many people say "you don't use it because you have one of the best lineups in the game.". That isn't true. Even during when I was in rare / super rare days. It is still simple math for me to play your best cards. During the first RC that I won Kobe as a Star Pro, I played the first day and made a list of unbeatable teams. I tiered the list, 3/2 players and 4-1 players that were beatable and not beatable. I also had a list that was risky that I was able to beat them if I got all offense. Does it mean that people are able to play faster than me? Yes, in the early days. Now Syd maybe the only one to rock my world. I don't face Egbert as he runs 3/2.

      Conclusion
Is $50 USD expensive for a Star Pack yes it is, but people are willing to pay it to play. I would encourage you to purchase the cards that you want from the AH as opposed to opening packs that could contain legendary cards.

Is removing the 3/2 a bad option, I think it is great. My assumption would be that the match making will be more accurate, or how the cards are played.
Truly removing the 3/2 improves the game as the 3/2 concept doesn't require thought.

Why are they trying to fix this "problem" that in most peoples eyes doesnt need to be fixed. Instead they should be focusing on lowering this 30% tax that EVERYBODY thinks is way too high.

Why is it cheating? It is just a strategy to generate more wins in a lower tier. For example I am not willing to have a bad win ratio - everything under 20 Wins is not acceptable for me. It is up to me and nobody gets hurt. Furthermore I play in a lower tier, which is somehow stupid but before I loose tons of games, I will do that. And if you play with your best cards, it is depending on luck. Cause then the match up decides. If you run defense vs. offense the most of the time you will loose.

as it stands right now, win ratio is more a mental thing. You don't get anything in return. But I will let you know, why they want to get rid off it. If your deck is not good enough, you have to play +3. And in my opinion they want to force us to buy even more hot streaks. Cause with the higher tier guys you can only compete with +5 games.

The 3/2 LU is not even that big of a problem. I use that LU on RC and i need to go down 2 tiers to have 80% win rate in +5 matches. They should have focus more on the bigger problems, like the 5 bench common and untrained pro's in season.

3/2 isn't cheating. But letting a script/bot do your "job" is much easier...

Whatever they do, botting will still find a way.

I think the only solution for this to make the RC fair for players is to make the RC 12hours/day per user. This will make the playing field fair, everyone will have a chance to reach top 1-5. And CD will still earn more because players will be forced to HS for the entire 12 hours to have an advantage. From what i know, botters only advantage is that they earn points when they are sleeping, eating etc. so limiting the time will give advantage to honest players and giving disadvantage for botters.
