Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
except people who get 3 stars and then sell them for 10.000 credits don't need the new game mode. Why bc then you just buy the HOF packs. This in turn takes money out of the business who runs this game bc then people don't need to buy credits.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
Absolute garbage update. Anybody that followed the main thread knows how much players like me needed/wanted the auction house to upgrade our decks but after this I refuse to use the BB gift card that I had been saving for the auction house with the newest slap in the face.
Players are already tanking in my playoffs because of this crap since it's pointless unless you're the best team. However it's good in a way because I don't have to buy boosts for three rounds anymore since only the top two teams are even going to try. I've spent around $100 (a drop in the barrel compared to a lot of you) on this game but not a dollar more.

Where do the credits come from that buy those packs? Trust me, it doesn't take money from them at all.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
Yeah it's pretty odd because players did not want to trade season rewards for that ability to earn more credits.
All this has done is slow progression, especially at the lower tiers.
Good luck to the poor bloke in UR who not only earns next-to-nothing via credits in the way of a win, but also only gets a single E card, with no chance at a UR dupe.
Basically, the new season reward tiers has absolutely bollocked the new players, and players in lower tiers, disproportionately.
Sure, star tier players are bollocked, too, as you only get one star card, but you might be able to sell it. Who's going to buy an Epic card??
Like, if I were someone in the UR or Epic tiers, I'd be pretty dejected as my hopes of advancing were just completely dashed.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
Q: Why is the Season Game Mode so long?
The season game is designed to give you great rewards for making it through the playoffs. To win those rewards requires both dedication and good management of your time, players, boosts, and energy. If the game were shorter, the rewards would not be as good.
Since you have reduced the season rewards are you going to shorten the season?
Also I have been an epic epic+ for 3600 games and I have drafted 2 epic cards with these season changes I will never make it out of epic unless I payComment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
They'll keep spending regardless. They'll spend for packs anyway and they'll spend on RC. Ask the top players and they'll all probably tell you they spend more now than ever. Oh, and now HOF > MVP, so there's more to go after. Soon, Playoff cards will take over. The more you get lower level players paying, the more faster you make money. Virtual economies work very similar to real economies.
Many people would've bank rolled the last RC HS thanks to AH sales (myself included), without those AH sales I would've had to buy HS (like I did in the prior one).
At the end of the day people are upset they won't get as many rewards as easily. That's what it comes down to. All I'm trying to explain to you guys is that is what CD wants. They want it to be more challenging. Again, using myself as an example, its way too easy for me to beat leg seasons and just farm cards every few days, they would prefer I pay - or do you think that is incorrect? Do you think CD would prefer I don't pay?Comment

Eh, I don't think so, take Syd as an example, didn't he use AH creds for the AH prior to last?

The game is dead to a freemium player, buy packs that cost upwards of $100 for 1 player or don't bother playing.
This app now exists for me for the reason I initially downloaded it... to get credits for the console game.

If it was impossible to win seasons with weak decks, I would have been rolled every season, as its barely possible to have a weaker deck than I have in Star tier.
Your argument is invalid, because that isn't how seasons work.Comment

Do you think CD would prefer I don't pay?I am barely in Star tier, literally if I change one card on my bench from a Epic Pro to a Legendary I drop back to legendary tier. I have won a season, come in 2nd in another, and made it to the quarter finals in every Star season I have played.
If it was impossible to win seasons with weak decks, I would have been rolled every season, as its barely possible to have a weaker deck than I have in Star tier.
Your argument is invalid, because that isn't how seasons work.I've won seasons across many tiers (except Star - not touching it - I have 3 star pros, 8-9 singles and 3 RC stars, that's good enough to crush Leg but not Star), so I just 'farm' leg seasons. Well, i did until now, now I won't be getting as good rewards.
Again, people are just upset the rewards aren't as good. Some people didn't get a chance to farm seasons (like I did, and others in Star), and some are upset they will no longer be able to (Star especially it seems - surprise surprise).
But don't make the argument that because you haven't had a chance to do it that it isn't viable. It is. I have about 25 'good' Leg cards sitting around waiting for sale (and sold 1 a moment ago). So again, I don't have to pay anymore.
Answer, me this - do you think CD prefers I pay? Or don't pay?
If you think CD prefers I pay = they nerf seasons
If you think CD prefers I don't pay = they leave seasons.
EDIT: I'm just telling you how it is, CD determined that season rewards are too good, so they took them away. That is what happened. I speculate that it's for balance and to make sure people pay more instead of just farming seasons - true, that is just my speculation.Last edited by Melcho; 03-18-2015, 08:49 PM.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
Where exactly did danan say they thought season rewards are too generous Mudman. Please do quote. All I could find is that they wanted to give free players a means of aquiring Credits.
Unless you Show me that quote all your reasoning is redundant.
I did mention already that it's false did I? 😁

You want to curb what is made on selling rewards? Lower or remove minimum bids and BIN. If I'm getting 2-3k for a card, I'm not able to afford the MVP or HOF packs. Let the market dictate itself. Pulling a LeBron or ADavis will be that much sweeter, because you'll actually get a lot for them.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
The is correct so this is no longer a freemium game where a free player could advance, albeit at a slower rate, a freemium player no jas NO CHANCE of ever making it to a team of top tier pros.
The game is dead to a freemium player, buy packs that cost upwards of $100 for 1 player or don't bother playing.

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
However, by setting minimums, aren't you saying that these cards are worth at least this much, and should not be sold for any lower? If they cannot sell for their minimums, then the minimum should be lowered. The card becomes worthless if it has no use to you (0 credits). Why should any card be worthless? The credits that you win should be worth at least the minimum of that tier, so 5000 for star. If that is too much, then lower the minimum price for stars.Comment

Re: Update 6 Release Notes - March 18th
If you believe that card values are all speculative, I'm going to assume you mean this: "400 credits is better than a star card, because a star card may not necessarily sell, while 400 credits is something you can definitely put to use."
