i am hopeful i can go +7 star, then +2 in PO.
    will buy 75 HS package.
i will train up fully my PO Kobe, PO Bogut, SPro Bosh, and work on the star PF Wallace and McGinnis.

is the Great to far off with this lineup?

I think the key to winning Great is making it TO the great card with 36+ hours left and then just buying game nights while you lose your way to victory. If you can even win +2s your deck probably is probably amazing.

I'll be gunning for the same but if sunday comes up and i'm short, i'm going to dump credits to get my star.
Hey thanks for the advice, I figure if I grind hard (i.e. not missing any game nights when I am awake) I should finish epics by first night. Then, the Leg card will cost 7~10 hours depending if I can win +7 or +5. That leaves me about 1.5 days for the star. So in the end, it all depends on if I can win +2 Star games...

Is there a 'special' way to setup my deck or is it just best cards in that position first?

Stack all your best cards in one position.
That way you always get at least one of your best card (and not a situation where you get your 5 best on one quarter and your 5 worst on another)

That seems to work for me, I have a pretty bad deck (by comparison - in Star tier for RTTC) but have managed a PO card these last few RTTC.

I had Star+ lineup last RTTC (about 3/4 bar full, with 1 partially trained PO pro and 11 fully trained Star pros). Did +7 up to Star, then +5 on PO, and lost like 190 matches to get Magic by buying lots of game nights -- close to 1000 credits i think.

The key is really to get to POTG as fast as possible. RTTC stars Friday 2 PM my time, so I play every hour till past midnight, then continue first thing in the morning. By Saturday late afternoon I will start grinding losses for POTG. The most inconvenient problem is that the event ends Monday 8am my time, so I have to finish by Sunday night!

                Re: RTTC Discussion

I have found the best strat to be to stack two positions with you 4th to 13th best cards then put your best three in another position.

The reason for this is the two positions stacked with 5 cards are for your double matchups while the third column with your three top cards is to ensure you get 2 each game to guarantee 2x single wins.

To win a match up you need to win all four doubles matchups (or equivalent) and two singles matchups.

The below screenshot is my lineup. I use PG and PF as the positions that hold my doubles cards and C holds my three top cards to win singles.

When a quarter starts first thing I do is look at my lineup and determine whether I need to win 2/4 or 3/4 matchups.. This is dictated by whether one of my three top cards appears or not. When you know you have to win only two matchups (or 3) you can adjust your card playing accordingly

If a double matchup comes out first I just about always disregard it by playing my SG / SF trash cards then win the remaining 2/3 as needed. If only two wins are needed be sure to play your "double cards" in the last two quarters.

If a double match up comes second this is difficult but is driven by whether you need to win 2 matchups or 3. If you only need to win 2 then I would again throw this and play my double cards as singles in the last 2 matchups otherwise if you need 3 then you will just have to risk it.

A double match up coming third is ideal and if it comes last just play your top card 3rd then your double match up cards.

I have used this strat to win pretty successfully with star decks on the PO cards at +2 / +5 levels.

                Hope it helps

Hey I'm hoping to win the Star card for this RttC. My current RttC Tier is Leg++ (QG Star+) so I know I have to grind out the Star (hopefully I can win +2's consistently).

My best cards are the The Splash Brothers (RC reward) and are both level 20 to avoid unbalancing to my QG LU. My question is whether I should fully train them to have a better chance at getting the Star but at the expense of potential compensation of my QG LU's balance.

It completely depends on your RttC lineup and your top 13 cards.

I could have put 12 commons in place of the cards I don't use in my last screen shot, pulling me down to star++, but that doesn't change my top 13 cards and my ability to win +2 on POTG.

So in summary... what are your 13 best cards? I think you will need, probably on average, leg pros with 2-3 "top cards" being your 2,000-2,500 rated card to +2 the star card meaning you could then potentially lose your way to PO Kemp if you had the credits and time.

Appreciate the response. And so to answer ur question, I have The Splash Bros, 5 Star Singles (Hopefully 1 will dupe before I reach the Star Card), 5 Legendary Pros, the rest Legendary Singles/ Epic Pros.

I am interested to see how far I can get today. started EPIC tier already, so good start. If i can pull off +5 on PO, good chance I will have enough time to lose to Pippen.

+5 (+10) in Star tier everytime. won't take chance on +7, as will miss sometimes. that means going for Pippen is probably not doable now. Probably +2 at best in PO

Don't know if that's helpful for anyone, but here's what you're facing in Star and PO +7:

Positions are off, as the computer doesn't have all positions equally covered.

Im loosing more +2 games than 2 weeks ago with weaker LU

Yup, looks like +2 team have plenty of pro POs slightly stronger than pro stars, definitely stronger than maxed single POs, last rttc they were weaker
