The RC Elephant in the Room

So after reading several posts I have seen that many people fall during the "calculating" portion. My question is that where are the people that rise or move up? Or are the leaderboards behind and telling 3 people they have the same rank? Or is CD simply throwing bots in at random spots to make ppl slip down and eliminate the number of cards handed out since they said there is already to many cards? Not sure if this has ever been asked or answered but I'm guessing a fair number of people are wondering the same thing.

Its human nature not to share on public positive things but rant about negative ones.

And I'm pretty sure no one moves up, its just that the leaderboard can't update in real time thus the 15 mins calculation period. This occurrence is not just on leaderboards, you will also notice this in season games where sometimes it starts at 27-28 mins instead of 30 to compensate for the lag time between you and server side.

I dropped 10 spots and it's pretty clear why. I played 5 points game the last 20 min and still in that period the leaderboard told me I was gaining some rank whereas I know many other players were still playing +10 games.
==> This simply shows that the leaderboard doesn't update live but through some server batch every 15 min or So.

I have my fair share of concerns about CD but telling they implement "fake" bot to kick out some player from top seed in RC is a bit ludicrous IMHO

That happens is if you hotswap out of the app and then back in. It messes the timers up it seems. To reset and make it show the correct time, go back to the title screen (Tap to continue). Important when using boosts during Seasons, as I've discovered.

I think the real elephant in the room is how many people were finding ways to cheat in RC, leading to the implementation of the random verifications.

I played so many games in this RC that it was embarrassing, using hot streaks for every match, and finished 91st with 23,024. How are these people perennially at the top scoring double that? Unless you aren't sleeping at all, I don't know how that's possible

I think it's both very telling and very sad how many threads are about major issues with the way CD does things and they choose to just ignore the feedback and make things worse. If they weren't backed by 2k and/or there were viable alternatives with NBA licensing, I don't think this company would survive very long. Other companies would kill to have the type of feedback they do, yet they ignore it.

I dropped 100 or so spots in the calculating period but did not slip out of the RC card reward tier.

Last RC I did get knocked out of the tier I was going for though.

This RC I climbed well into the section I wanted to be in to make sure I didn't slip out.

With all the people that playing it's impossible to update to everyone real time

It's definitely not impossible. There are definitely ways to do it, but I don't know if CD has the caliber of people to pull it off. That's not a knock on them. Really good devs and ops guys are difficult to find.

I Dropped from ~7550 to 8038 (I think was the exact number). I was excited to get the Bosh card, but I do not have any use for a single epic. This really upset me and almost made me set this game down for good. I'm still considering it seeing as I played over 1000 games at Led tier and only received the one, first board led card. Now, I'm in led+ and about 100 games in and still no more led players. I'm stuck and it is incredibly frustrating!

Re: The RC Elephant in the Room

I was keeping myself at around 800rank on my screen the whole time, this is the first time I've actually played this much because the rewards seemed worth it. I thought top 1k was doable and with 2 star cards, yes pls. So I did keep myself in top800 in my screen the whole time, bam calculating results and rank 1050. I was so ready to delete the game right away. All of you who have done it know just how much clicking it is to get to those ranks. And the drop in rewards is just amazing, from dreaming how I will improve my team by ALOT by doing this 40hours of clicking in 4 days, i get 1 legendary and 1 epic, which will lead to nothing. So far i have over 30 single ultra rares with only 3 pro versions, over 10 epics with 1 pro (that was also a double epic reward from rc bfore) and with a deck like this it's impossible to get the legendary from rttc. I'd say its completely ******** that basically the only way for me to improve my deck is to play those RCs and the one time I did all I thought was needed (as I said, I kept myself top 800 on my screen) I find those 4 days gone for pretty much nothing. Even the curve on rewards or something, this is just too stupid. (and oh please, get the ******* realtime update on the rank)

It was posted elsewhere... but the difference between 300 and 1000 was only 100 pts. That's 10 games with HS or 20 regular games. That's why the drop was so huge for some people. The game has multiple servers that take at least 3 minutes to show your real ranking. I was in 211 and ended up 345.

Yea, I do know that now :I The silly part was that I was around 600 like few hours before the end, didn't have any idea how hectic it would get.

Thats the most pissing part for me, then with about 1 hour left I check it to see if I've dropped, see im already at 800, start playing. Then play +5 winning like 90% of them nonstop untill the calculations start and still find me thrown out of the top 1000. And what makes it even more annoying is that you end up with a rank a bit over 1k, you get ****.
I mean complete **** that doesn't really do you any good, as If I had had like 5-10 more points, I would've got 2 star cards that would've boosted my qc tier to legendary and so forth, with the first quaranteed legendary drop from table would've given me an actual chance to do something in the playoffs of epic season for a chance to get more legendaries and so forth.
It would've just given me a boost to get something going in the game. Now im stuck with my deck, not having a chance in rttc to get another legendary, quickgame stuck @ epic++ with 2 legendaries, 1 epic pro (all of those from rc btw...) and 2 ultra rare pros.
Also as I wrote in some other thread aswell that I've got around 40 ultra rare drops and only 2 dupes. A bit over 10 epic drops and no suprise no dupes there. It's just starting to seem a bit pointless to play this game as the only way to get any progress without casually playing for months (take into account that with epic++ qc and epic on season I'm nowhere near the endgame yet) is from ultimate grinding on RC and I did that once, without rewards. And for buying card packs, seriously, those prices are ridiculous. I can buy a new computer game for the price of 1 star mvp / hof.

Unfortunate for us, CD makes the only NBA TCG and NBA2k15 companion app. Fortunately for CD, that means they have a monopoly on the iOS and Android markets for such games.

Take advantage of the AH. Train your UR's and sell them at minimum price and it will sell. Make sure to train the ones that aren't already abundant on the AH, and have 3 enhancement slots. Keep in mind that the majority of the people playing this game are US based, so don't post a card that will end somewhere when everyone is sleeping (unless your card is the only one available in the AH, not many people will buy it). Earn enough credits from playing the AH and start buying your own Star cards!

Disclaimer: this is the method of a grinder. If you're a (filthy) casual (just kidding), it may take much longer and purchasing credits would be your only option.
