    How to improve the game AND make the AH more profitable

    I think that if there were an "achievement" system related to the card catalog, it would add a lot of interest and also give people more incentive to collect (or buy) more cards. Ideally, there would be many different achievements to work toward, ranging in difficulty. Some of these milestones could be made very easy and result in modest rewards but obviously, there would need to be worthwhile rewards for filling in parts of the catalog that would require more effort. Some ideas I have are:

    Obtaining x number of unique cards at each rarity
    Obtaining all single cards of each rarity within each team/division/conference (and additional rewards for making pro versions of all)
    Obtaining ALL cards (all rarities) within each team/division/conference
    Additional rewards for filling in x number of teams in the catalog

    Personally, I think people would play the game even more with a system that puts many obtainable and many more challenging objectives to work towards and I would love to see something like that implemented.

    And what makes you think they'll go to that much effort? The "Ladder Rewards" are already a gigantic joke.

      I nearly have my epic Jordan... 3,000 more games haha. He will slot nicely into my Star QG lineup... oh wait. Maybe he will make my leg / star season... oh wait.

      Waste of a reward. Give me 20 credits, it's more useful.

        Agreed on the Ladder awards, I don't get how CD thinks those rewards will be useful at the games played tier they are all at. Not to mention the amount of games it would take to get there, even a totally free player should be able to outpace those awards and not need them. BUT I do want those sweet, sweet Jordan Stars.

          I am a free play and both the jordan super rare and ultra rares were useful. The rest aren't.

            Same here, the super rare and ultra Jordan's stayed in my lineups for a good amount of time, however by the time I get the epic version, it will be way too late, even worse by the time I get the pro.

              Since this has already gone off, the ladder rewards should have been given out like this. Super rare, ultra rare, super rare dupe, epic, ultra rare dupe, etc. The ultra rare went into my qg lineup as a free player but by the time I get the single epic it won't even creak my rttc lineup.

                My sincere apologies, you are both correct as the super rare and ultra rare pros both helped and each were in my lineup as well, I should have clarified further and said that after the 10k ladder reward, the rewards get too spread out between required games to help your lineup, IMO. Or I could have kept my mouth shut too, haha, so again I apologize. I'm just frustrated cause I play the game like crazy but don't see myself getting those legend or star jordans before the next MyNBA2K16 game comes out.

                    Honestly, an achievement system would be best, but only because it's such an easy and lazy implement that CD should have no problem doing it. Afterall, it was what helped Blizzard make tons of WoW sales during WotLK just by putting in an achievement system.

                      I have recently
                      been thinking the same thing. For a proclaimed "card collecting" game, there doesn't seem to be much card collecting. I doubt CD will bite on the idea as it might actually be enjoyed by players even if it would increase trade even for the weakest of cards.

                        Don't apologize, you made a great point. 80000 games to get star MJ is overkill along with 10k games to get 1200 creds. It all around is questionable.

                            They were able to change fundamental things with a midseason update like the reward system in season, why not for the ladder?

                            Let's be honest in higher tiers, the rewards are a joke. They should be more realistic.
                            For example 100.000 Games means roughly 70 days of Playing Time (estimated 60 seconds per Game)
                            Within a year that means you need to play 20% of the year just for the highest award.

                            You can do the math for other rewards, I don't say they are worthless. But at the time you get them, you can only use them as training fodder.

                            + collecting is absolutely worthless in the game as you will never finish the card catalog

                              Since there are so many people that already have most if not all the rewards it would not be fair to change it. They said they could only change the later ones as those are more scarce. I am so close to getting that MVP MJ.
