if you really really have to buy first...
you can ask him to buy a common card from you. it will cost him 50, to show his IGN name.
a real scammer will usually go look for someone else at this point.

That's a really great idea, and something I think everyone should implement if the buyer wants you to BB first, especially if they have new accounts.

Because the tax is proportional, it makes no difference to the overall amount gained. You can even add 20 to the BB to account for the listing fee in order to have some semblance of safety.

For example, someone wanted me to BB first on a Festus PO card. Jun 2015 reg date... like, haha no way in hell.

Also, just an FYI to all the people who use Tapatalk. If you go to a person's profile and click on "replies", you can see what posts they have responded to and that gives you a pretty good indication if they're just looking to scam or whatnot. Literally, you can see what they're posting on different threads.

Bad transaction with CavsForLife2015.

He agreed to trade his legendary for 1 epic and 3 ultra rares. At the time of negotiations I didn't have enough credits to buy first and as I was a new user he did not trust me to go second (fair enough).

Fast forward to about 2 weeks later and I have enough to buy first, I ask if he still has the card/wants to do the deal and he said yes. I laid it out pretty clearly in PMs what the deal was and he continued on with the trade.

I bought his card first and when it was time for him to BIN my cards he changed his mind on the trade and said he didn't want to lose credits and only BID on 3 of them. This was not part of the arranged deal.

If he did not agree with the trade I would have been more than happy to re-negotiate to something that works out for both of us.

If you do deal with him in the future make sure he fully understands what the deal is.

TLDR; CavsForLife2015 agrees to trade his legendary for 1 epic and 3 ultra rares. He changed his mind on the deal AFTER I bought his card.

EDIT: CavsForLife2015 has responded (few pages over) and has acknowledged his mistakes and has offered to make things right. I believe any future transactions with him will be successful but urge members to make the dealing terms clear.

I would not trust this forum member in the future and do not recommend others to trust him either. If you do deal with him in the future make sure he fully understands what the deal is.

I don't think anybody should trade with him ever again. You can't alter the terms of a deal like that. He's going on my blacklist.

It happens, just be careful when buying. I'm by far no pro here but there are guys that frequently post here you should trust. This mentioned guy has been pointed out for being a suspected scammer. It's sad because this game is over in maybe 4 months or so.

He was mentioned in the good transaction thread by Mzong (who is trusted) so I went with it. I still got the card I wanted and some of my credits back so it wasn't a huge burn but he broke the rules of a transaction and should not be trusted in the future.

True, but it's so sad people do this in a video game. I mean you scam credits and then what, all PO GS cards, Jordan HOF cards, the best deck. I just don't get it, someone please explain to me why.
