Bad transaction with CavsForLife2015.

He agreed to trade his legendary for 1 epic and 3 ultra rares. At the time of negotiations I didn't have enough credits to buy first and as I was a new user he did not trust me to go second (fair enough).

Fast forward to about 2 weeks later and I have enough to buy first, I ask if he still has the card/wants to do the deal and he said yes. I laid it out pretty clearly in PMs what the deal was and he continued on with the trade.

I bought his card first and when it was time for him to BIN my cards he changed his mind on the trade and said he didn't want to lose credits and only BID on 3 of them. This was not part of the arranged deal.

If he did not agree with the trade I would have been more than happy to re-negotiate to something that works out for both of us. Even though I still got the card I was after and some of my credits back, I think he knew exactly what he was doing and is trying to get away with a scam.

I would not trust this forum member in the future and do not recommend others to trust him either. If you do deal with him in the future make sure he fully understands what the deal is.

TLDR; CavsForLife2015 agrees to trade his legendary for 1 epic and 3 ultra rares. He changed his mind on the deal AFTER I bought his card.

I'm gonna message DaftPunk in a moment and offer to buy any common he wants and give him some free credits because of the mix up. & to DaftPunk, sorry about this again. Hopefully you and I and everyone else can still do good deals in the future.

The deal I was going to make with him felt sketchy and in his signature he has the recognizable trusted names of people in here everyone knows and trusts (Waterloo, mzong, raybond, etc). Says he doesn't have credits but all his posts are about selling. Also he's not on waterloo24 good transaction list. Haven't found any postings in the good transactions thread by u guys trusted guys, either.

I'm a noob to trading and posting in forums, however I always read to keep up with what's going on. Anyone have anything on him? Or am I just being really paranoid?

If you're worried, contact one or mroe of the people he has in his signature and ask. No harm in doing that.

If he's not on the GT thread, it is a little bit fishy. Then again, I've repped people in the GT thread and they never repped me back, even when I gave away a card for free a while ago... :shrug:

Better safe than sorry. Do the due diligence if you are uneasy.

I hope Im wrong but people are using others' names to counterfeit their credibility? At least be a smarter scammer than that...

If Im wrong, I will delete this. But for the sake of the honest people out there, let us know about this person when u got more on him.

i will confirm with you I have NEVER traded with him. and wow thanks for telling me

EDIT: I even double-checked:

1. I update my signature link after every transaction
2. I add people as my friend after a trade. He is NOT on my friends list which definitely confirms I've never traded with him

Now does that mean he's a scammer? Not sure. Maybe he mistakenly thought he traded with me. But I definitely, DEFINITELY have NOT traded or sold/bought a card from him

If all of u confirm he's legit all I did was publicly put good rep out there for him. However, if u guys all say that you're oblivious then it will help clear up some credibility issues.

Telling him that if the deal was good I'd write about it and even how I was "difficult" with the trade and that he needed more positive feedback posted about his legitimacy. Any other trusted guys members with feedback?

again this could all be a misunderstanding but you are well within your right to take extra measures to protect yourself. I suggest PM-ing some others to get a faster response, because not everyone checks this thread (you're lucky I went online in a computer because I would have not noticed this in tapatalk)
