Players turned it into a thing in order to take advantage of the matchmaking and reward system. At the extreme, botters took advantage of it to excessively gain cards. We've been working on dealing with it for a long time to plug the holes. With the change in RttC to allow you to draft equal to your QG tier, we see no reason to be saving picks. Hence, why we dropped it even further since it truly can function as to what we wanted it to do, an error handling catch for lost connections.

If we wanted you to save picks as part of the game mechanics then we would have put it in the UI. The game is not designed for you to store and spend picks when you want to. Picks should be used when you receive them.
Well then I think you should seriously look into finding a way to restore it as a feature. Normal QG and RC picks (2 at a time) is monotonous. For me, the best part about RttC is that you get 8 picks. Saving picks adds an element to the game that otherwise isn't there. Whether you saw this as a feature or not, you've had it there for 2 years and it's become a part of the system.

You guys get tunnel vision sometimes in wanting everyone to do everything exactly the way you want it to be done instead of recognizing that different people enjoy the game in different ways and for different reasons.

It does when you look at how every update has consequences that make an aspect of the game unenjoyable that wasn't asked for or even talked about. All about dangling that carrot.

200 picks to 50 to 24.. whatever makes the game take longer to train, progress etc.. so they can add pay to win options to make progress faster. Such as paying for game nights to lose your way to Shaq. Fun.

It doesn't when you learn that operant conditioning has existed in video games since forever- even before video games existed.

The monetization methods of mobile apps/free games has also already been well documented and discussed at length for many years now. You've added nothing new or interesting that will enlighten anyone half aware of the state and history of games, be it video games or slot machines.

Everyone is aware of the history of video games? No? Then maybe someone will read it and understand a little better how CD operates.

Can you or Brad address why this was changed mid event and caused several forum members (and I'm sure countless others) to lose out on loads of picks (I played 3 rttc games before confirming that I wasnt getting any more) and without coming here I would not have known why. Don't mind the change but it would have been nice to have been told and given a buffer period.

Has the following question been answered?

If my QG tier is playoffs, but my RTTC tier is star. I know that you're able to draft playoff cards on the RTTC draft board. BUT! what happens if i draft a star on the RTTC draft board? Does that count as my reset?

Like I said, it goes far before video games. If you are vaguely aware of slot machines or claw machines, you already know all of this.

CD operates par the norm for mobile monetization models. You make it sound like its some terribly hidden greedy machine. Its a pay to win game and its main point for most is to collect cards, you shouldnt be surprised or need explaining for any of this.

They haven't said that directly yet but have indicated that your RTTC board is pulling from your QG board and will continue to do so, so read into that however you want.

Ya hopefully they can answer this directly so I don't screw my Star board up.

Not everyone knows this but keep thinking they do.

Just because you and a few other people enjoy saving picks just so you can use a bunch of picks up all at once to "break the monotony" does not change the fact that there are a great number of players who exploit pick saving. Another thing is, this is Cat Daddy's game, not ours. The whole point of making a game is to get people to play YOUR game they way YOU meant it to be played. Not how someone else wants you to play your game. Lowering the pick storage does not make the game more difficult for anyone and honestly it doesn't even make it more of a nuisance either. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that Cat Daddy needs to change THEIR game for you.

Just got my QG Legendary tier reset in RttC, a 3-slot Tim Duncan. Super-happy they decided to keep this "feature", thanks CD!

No, even though it says star you're drafting as if you're in Playoff tier. It won't count as your reset- see it as just a visual bug showing a lower tier.

You're telling me that when people roll a slot machine they expect to hit a jackpot more often than a loss? Common sense and logic is more common than you think.
