Part of me envies the guys who can play nonstop and get all the shiny new cards, but then I think of how miserable and lonely that must be.
I grind as much as I can, but weekend is family time. I like playing with my kids.

I agree with this; well until there is a rivals clash with an al horford or jeff teague as the rc card, and then I'll kiss my fiance goodbye and lock myself in the basement for the weekend.

Seriously though, I thought the same thing when I did my first rc, these guys have to be cheating, but then I got better cards and even when I don't play much (as skipping out on sleep seems a bit ridiculous) I can still get into a good tier. So the people who have the credits to hs their way to the top, I absolutely believe they can get 50k legitimnately

First off, if you suspect someone of cheating then please let us know. You can send me a pm on this board, or send in a Feedback through in the game. Include their game name, how you suspect they are cheating, specific details on their suspected method, links to video or discussions of their methods, and anything else you think is relevant.

Secondly, we have several anti-cheat measures in place already. We do not take cheating lightly and have banned several people in the past for breaking the EULA/TOS. For instance, you may have noticed a code validator pop up appear that requires a random code to be entered. That is in place to help prevent bots.

Finally, some of your math is just off. 30 seconds is a good estimate for play, but some players can play faster than that. They also lower their card count stored during events in order to minimize training times. With the higher card cap I would imagine training takes even less time now vs. previous events. Top players also have figured out decks that have nearly a 100% victory rate vs. +5 opponents. They also Hot Streak every single game, making it +10 every time.

We monitor for cheaters very closely. There are some that are very close to the realm of believability whom we watch even more closely. If we have evidence of cheating we have no problem banning people. There is no "4 game suspension" here. ;-)

It would be cool if I didn't have to tap the screen to make the cards dance faster. I don't want carpel tunnel. Like, can I just tap it once at the start of each round to toggle between "fast" and "slow"?

Take Sour Syd for instance, well known to actually play and earn his points. That proves it is doable. Thing is there will always be people that shortcut it.

Some of them are rather innocent methods. Spouse/child grinding for you, while others may actually collude with people not related to them (see Egbert).

The automated cheating method isn't simple and not all that many with the talent would bother wasting it on cheating to get a bunch of fake cards.

Either way......It's just a game! Take a breath and relax.

What's the difference between letting a relative, a stranger or a bot play for you? Wouldn't either method piss off the solo grinder?

I personally don't care anymore. Maybe if they threw in a regular playoff card and/or support card along with it, or made it top 250, it would be more appealing but I'm starting to think top 100 is just not worth it. It will take you about 20k in credits just to hot streak and a ton of hours, not only that, there is a very good chance that you can calculate right out of it which would really sting.

Top 800 or 1800 is a much safer bet, and you can sleep and dupe your po cards with those credits instead.

someone told me about one of the other forum sites where they prove there legit, my faith in the mobile 2k app game has been restored to be honest. I mean you're probably right.

You're probably right when you say 10% might be cheating, I am just at the bottom looking up and it just seems like no way.

I'm with you on this one! I just wish CD would throw us a bone by maybe making some sort of random chance that you could get a really good card during these events or some way to make it more appealing for people who can't throw away a whole weekend. I've got two kids and a happy wife and a full time job managing large projects which causes me to work a lot. It would be nice to feel like I had a chance (even minuscule) at a good card.

Yeah, agreed! Best I've done is Legendary and that was hard. This time around I tried really really hard for a star card and was at 5600 by the end. Almost got it, but that was an insane amount of effort on my part imo. Playing during supper, playing at work, playing while watching tv. I have a wife and 2 kids too, I can't do that every time.

Also, RTTC? The only point of rttc is the # of training fodder you get it seems. If you have a good enough deck to get an EPIC card, likely you don't want another epic card. I need legedary and star or better, and I can only get EPIC. And then they removed the whole "win the double event win the quarter"...now it's even harder!

Let's not even get into card prices in the store. It's ridiculous. And AH takes 30% ?!

After 5023 games I get an Ultra Rare MJ ?!!? If you still need UR cards after over 5k games, you are doing something wrong imo.

The game is setup in a way to put you way behind the curve and to make you want to spend real $$. I think 1/3 people spend money, 1/3 people just quit, and 1/3 just suck it up and grind. I wish they would throw us a bone every now and then(card pack sales are NOT it)
