    Newish player questions! Pls help

Not super new, in Legendary season, but haven't really researched the game. I have a few questions on how to maximize my deck. Please help if you can.

    1) What is the best method to train cards? Let's say I want to train my EPIC card. I have 10 common cards. My choice is to either a) train all 10 on epic. b) combine the common cards into 5 silver pro(assuming they can be) or c) train one of the common cards to max before using that card to train my epic?

    2) I was thinking of selling my Legendary support card to try and buy a legendary player card on the AH. My plan for now is to just stack legendaries until I can start combining them.

    3) Is it more beneficial to have a stacked starting lineup in season and try for the WIN. Or have a decent lineup and just try and get out of the first round. Because normally one tier higher all you need to do is get out of the first round to get that better card. Whereas a tier lower, you have to win the whole thing to get the same card.

    4) Any tips or tricks to rivals or rttc? I can't seem to get better than Legendary in rivals. Is it worth it to spend like 200-300 coins on Hotstreaks for rivals? And on RTTC....it seems like until you are at the final tier, you can never get a card you need. Like I need Legendary and Star right now, and I can only beat the EPIC tier(since they removed the "win every double match win the game").

Anything else you guys can help me with is greatly appreciated. I'm addicted and don't want to feel like I've been doing things the long or slow way for so long.

    Thanks.

    1. Combine your commons at level 0, then train them into your epic.

    2. It's a good plan to dupe legs, but you'll have trouble selling a leg support unless it's a hot streak.

    3. In star season, just making the second round is enough to get you a star card. But winning a star season does not get you a PO card. So in star seasons, it is okay to drop out of the second round if you like.

In leg and below seasons, I would go for the win so you can get that next tier reward. Your overall goal is progression. Tier pros become useless as soon as you start getting Next Tier pros, so if you can win a leg or lower season, I'd go for it.

Note: You can half-train a Next Tier pro to beat all Current Tier pros and not have it unbalance your lineup.

    4. Rivals / RTTC it depends all on where you want to finish up. For RC, run a 3/2 lineup (that is, 3 strong cards, 2 weak ones) and hot streak if you want to climb high.

For RTTC, you can hotstreak the games you can win to progress through the tiers faster and sell the rewards faster.

      1)
Train the card you want directly, proing or training a common is a waste of xp. Edit- apparantly proing is a good idea...
      2) You're unlikely to sell a leg support, unless it's hot streak
      3) Its easiest to play higher tier. If you're just into leg seasons then you will still easily get a leg card (quarter finals) if you have energised players.
      4) For rivals just man up and play more! No better way, you can easily get star without HS.
      5) For RTTC you should be able to grind leg unless your deck is very poor.

It's better to combine to level 0 commons and train them into your Epic, rather than train 2 singles un-proed.

But basically yeah the difference is minimal.

Thanks for the fast response guys! Appreciate it.

            1) I will combine cards from now on.

            2) 20credits to try, ill try a couple times...see if i get lucky i guess. Stupid question, what is legendary hotstreak?

            3) I'm only in EPIC season, so I get a Leg if I win(I've won once so far). I was thinking of making my bench commons and staying in EPIC to try and win more often. But If I move up to Leg tier, then I get a Leg in 2nd round, which I agree is easy if you stay on top of energy. At least you will get into 2nd round as often as winning the whole thing a tier lower probably.

            4) Just grind I guess. =)

            Thanks.

              Follow up questions!

              5) Is there any method to trade VC for anything? I don't play NBA 2k15 anymore. I'd rather have Moblie credits.

              6) When combing a card into PRO. Should I use any enhancements on it? Or are they wasted? Do they improve the base stats enough to make it worth it?

              7) I've been trying to max out my UR's and sell them. I'm getting one sold about 50-60% of the time. Is this worth it? Should I sell them here instead? Suggestions? I need to make some money and I have tons of URs.

The experience gain of training a pro instead of training two singles is ~8%. Getting better the higher tier you pro.

Hot Streak is the name of a support card. It's plus x to all stats for the team, where x depends on the tier. That card is pretty popular.

50-60% is awesome. Stick with it!

Cool, man you guys have no idea. I've posted like 10 times on reddit and the nba2k15 forums these questions and people are either confused and answer about the video game, or they just don't answer. Love this forum already.

An advise I have is since you're still in lower tier, there should be a surplus of epic/legendary available. Post in the want/needs thread first for buybacks instead of buying straight from the AH.

                            5) The only way that I've heard of (though I haven't done it myself) is to use VC to buy MyTeam players on the console, sell them for MT points, and trade those with people for mobile credits.

                            6) When using enhancements on singles, the enhancements are lost after combining. It's (kind of) a waste to enhance singles.

                            7) I've had decent luck selling UR's without showcasing them on here, but it would never hurt to do that. There are multiple auction house threads that you could put them on. You probably wouldn't make as much selling on here (because of buyback), but that money would be saved in AH listing costs.
