Re: AH should work on a capitalistic system
So @NWGameDad made a point that he can see the data the proves the AH is ok. And many people made the point that the data he is seeing is trades, buybacks, etc made from this forum and other smaller communities. Which is true, but another point I didn't see mention was that this forum's bids are never accidentally stolen by some random in the AH.
In all the trades and sells we have done on this forum how many times has some random AH customer bid on the card you are selling? 99% of the time the card is sold at the BID MINIMUM with a BIN of a random # dictating that it's your card. Why aren't people ever bidding on these cards? I bet 1 in 500 trades, if that, get their card "stolen" by some AH person who just happen to BID. That alone is proof that the AH is broken.
On this topic I think the AH mins are too low, I don't think they should be removed. But the main problem is everyone is broke. Do they care though? The whole point of this game is to get people to spend real money on credits. Who is gonna buy credits when they can farm them in another way? While I think the game is broke...it's only broke if you don't pay 2 play.IGN: czahComment

Re: AH should work on a capitalistic system
This thread is going to cause CD to give us credits from the draft board instead of cards, you will get a random number from 0 to 3 credits per pick and cards can only be purchased from packs starting with commons at 25 credits and increases from there.
Season rewards will be credits and more credits (or less). You will get your regular prize plus bonus for final seed. PO season would be a total of 2k credits that will get you a legendary on the AH.IGN: Joenuts83

I do agree that credit packs are ridiculously priced though, stemming from the fact they didn't change prices when they introduced the AH. I feel as though we'll see better pricing for packs next game.Comment

Re: AH should work on a capitalistic system
I've never bought packs and don't want to do this. Prices are higher than the sky. I can't get so many credits just because I can't get it anywhere except AH. And AH is dead. Boom. Exclusive circleComment

Re: AH should work on a capitalistic system
That's sort of their plan I guess. If you could get all the credits you needed from the game, then no one would need to buy credits.Comment

They earn enough money from the game without that donate, I believe. If not, I wouldn't play this game at allComment

Re: AH should work on a capitalistic system
Maybe they can add an ad banner at the top and bottom of this game. Generate revenue that way. Rely less on purchasing credits so they don't need to bleed us dry. Make the game better, but with more ads. Right now us buying credits is the only reason they make this game at all. It's not to make a "fun" game for us. It's to make a game that earns them money. Fun is a side effect of that.IGN: czahComment

Re: AH should work on a capitalistic system
If I understand correctly, the game is somehow affiliated with the NBA, the league itself. That means that if people get interested or increase their interest in the league as a result of this game, then the whole assortment of 2K, NBA and CD benefit from it. And the NBA makes a lot of money, as well as 2K.
This means that CD can be less greedy, and try to make the game as fun and attractive as possible. I'm sure that even if they don't put making money as their top priority, they still will make a lot (for example, people who play the game as collectors, and less enjoy grinding, will pay).
I also think that a healthy AH will benefit them, and can, itself, also attract additional payers who would like to buy specific cards and not just packs.Good transactions: mnkc79, Lightning11, SambaTraube, Tifaes, Alys, ak1218

I have a couple ideas about how this game should be revamped in order to work, but they are too long to type on my phone. But the one thing they share in common is that CD has to find a way to make the card collection matter. If the game is only about getting 5, 10 or 15 good cards, then it will always end up like this.Comment
