What to do with untrained Epics and Legendaries?

So trained Rares sell pretty well on the AH. Trained SR and UR sell some of the time, specially around RTTC events. But my question is what do I do with all my untrained EPIC and Legs.

I want to maximize my credits some how. Right now I mostly train rares and URs, and sell them on AH. I think training a Leg and Epic to sell would be pointless, is that a fair statement? So, what should I do with them?

    1) Use them as fodder for my UR's to sell on AH?
    2) Attempt to sell them untrained on AH? On here with bb?
    3) Train them up and sell them?

Use them as fodder. Or train them to use for yourself as fodder

They've gone into my PO cards. Certain Epics will sell even on regular non event days (Klay being the most popular I think).

Is the training potential of a 20/20 rare the same as the cards it took to get that 20/20 rare? or do you lose something? The only benefit I see is being able to hold more training fodder for later. I just find myself needing credits constantly more than needing training fodder.

You lose XP doing that..... for example, a fully trained ultra rare (30 levels) only trains cards to level 27

Those certain epics and legs...would they ever sell if they are untrained? If they only sell as trained, then it's probably more useful for me to use the cards it would take to train them, to instead train rares and sell those.

Only a select few epics sell untrained, I don't think any legs sell untrained any more.

I managed to sell an untrained magic Penny '95? A few weeks ago but yeh legends don't sell often untrained and you'll sell maybe 1/10 legends without buy back (at least a few weeks ago now it's probably 1/20).
I've sold trained Epics at a 40% success rate in the last month (only counting Non Rttc) it's mostly about timing or luck. That likely changes now a days with more PO cards being thrown at lower tiers, but checking earlier there's still a decent amount of epics that have sold however I don't know if buy backs are involved on either end.
Only really popular cards may sell untrained, it's all just timing and luck.

Just offer as fodder if it's FT with a BB, believe it or not some are just starting the game and still need to improve their decks

Re: What to do with untrained Epics and Legendaries?

I used up a lot of Legends, Epics, Legend Pros this last RTTC to train into the POs I got. really thought about training away a Star this last time but didn't.

I have listed a fully trained 3 slot Legend AD many times, and have not sold him.

But sold a few URs, but some don't sell either. Just luck or timing on those.

As others have said you lose xp doing what I said but for instance right now I have nothing to train that will help me so I train URs to sell. I'll train some epics and try to sell them but if they don't I can just use them for the next po card that I get. Legendary cards have 40 levels and will train a card to level 38 so if I have nothing to sell (I don't sell rares) I like to train legs.

So you are saying if you don't train URs to sell you train Legs to hold for fodder?

I only train rares because they are almost a sure sell on the AH, so they will give me my listing cost back on any cards that don't sell.(Advice I was given on here when I joined) That way I'm never below 20credits and can't make an AH listing. I'm gonna test the waters with an untrained D Rose Leg. Might get lucky. Other than that, my only name that might sell is Yao Ming, which I doubt. I'll probably just train them at level 0 into my PO cards.

Yes. I have some untrained stars but they don't help any of my lineups now so I leave them untrained.

I'm all out of 3 slot ultra rares so now I'm training my 3 slot epic cards. I'll try to sell them but if they don't I'll train them into my next card for my own lineup. If I get through the epics I'll move onto my legs which I won't even try to sell.

Training rares is probably a good idea but it just doesn't seem worth the effort to me.
