Got another cross-post about a feature in MyNBA2K16. Here it is:
What are goals? Goals are a list of challenges (or missions) that we’ll assign you as you play MyNBA2K16 and complete the Goals on your list. As you complete Goals, you’ll earn cool rewards. We’re designing Goals to not only challenge you, but also get you playing MyNBA2K in totally new ways. Here’s an example:
Catalog Counter
Add 5 new cards to your Catalog
There are two kinds of Goals in MyNBA2K16, both of which vary in duration. That was an example of a “short” Goal – one we designed for you to finish quickly. A “long” Goal may have multiple objectives, but gives you an even better reward. Here’s an example of a long Goal:
Underdog
Reach the Playoffs in a Season without using any card equal or above the tier you played the Season in
Goals dish out Reward Points or RP, as we’re calling it internally. You can use RP to do all sorts of stuff like, say, buy card packs on the store. Or acquire double picks. Or make bids on cards in the Auction House. You can acquire RP by selling your cards on the Auction House, completing Goals, or “vendoring” your cards.
Card vendoring, like Reward Points and Goals, is also totally new concept to MyNBA2K. Vendoring allows you to sell any player card instantly based on the value of the card’s stats. Vendoring is a great way to make sure you always have RP.
We think Goals will really change the game in MyNBA2K by providing you more interesting decisions to make as you play, and another way to earn currency towards card packs and more. Hit us up on social media or the Operation Sports forum and let us know what you think.
