Wasted my wildcards on pro-ing uncommon level cards

Am I boned? I thought it took 3 similar cards to pro a player with a rookie contract, but it turns out I was using 3 plus an automatically-inserted wild card. I think I used 2 or 3 at least but I definitely used all the ones I have. I submitted a plea to 2k to reset me or something but it's not gonna fly.

Will I be able to earn more? I'm at about 300 games played right now and am struggling to increase my card-tier level. This year seems much more difficult than prior years.

Yes you can pull more WC. This game is more difficult, confusing, lacking, etc.

That is one of the biggest "scams" in the game in my opinion, that it automatically inserts the wildcards to the slots. I really feel that either leave them blank for the player to fill or automatically insert dupes if available.

Yes you are boned, they will likely not refund you. But you do draft Wildcards off the board. I think it's the opinion of most here that advancing through the tiers this year is much easier than last year. I wouldn't worry too awful much about it, just don't do it again.

Believe me, you are not the first or last to accidentally use wildcards. It's really silly and probably purposely put there so you use them and are forced to buy more.

Oh and btw, proing those uncommons is pretty much useless. There are those daily goals, you can see them by pressing the trophy picture in the "home" screen. By completing those goals you can earn RP pretty easily. Then just train those rares you draft to get into SR tier and use that RP to buy dupes for the SR you draft. Veteran contracts are also pretty common from the draft board so you shouldnt really save them. It is pretty fast to get to ur-epic tier. After that it gets slower.

True, I didnt even pro rares, went straight to SRs. I think i maxed out 5 rares to get to SR then moved up from there. First season was UR, but took 2 weeks to get there.

You will still draft wild cards they're just very rare.

True. It is a very transparent design decision to have the game automatically insert wild cards. Not a fan of that at all.

I had to use my cards to train something and I didn't think I was really going to get 4-of-a-kind for any rares or super rares, so my mindset was build a deep fully-maxed pro team to dominate season mode. A max pro uncommon is better than a max rare right? Maybe I didn't approach it perfectly.

Yes, a uncommon pro is better than a single rare

but a team with all rare singles would win a rare season easy, the tricky point is to energise players when it matters

I've drafted one in about 2000 games. I'd like to see them a little more common than that, but I understand why they are rare. I'm wondering if I should even use them to pro an Epic or wait for Legendary or higher.

I think holding back wild cards for use on legendaries only makes perfect sense.
