Game nights price increase
What's the reasoning behind doubling the price of game nights? Last year credits could be earned as a free player and game nights were 100 for 5. If anything the price should be lowered considering credits can only be purchased. This really kills my motivation to grind. Hot streaks already cost 3x what they did last year but at least you can earn rp for free.

Re: Game nights price increase
I am really surprised that not many more people are getting riled up about this.
But yeah, CD wont care about this as long as people keep buying them for 200 per 5. I understand this is a business, but seriously, this is too much. Too much greed.

Re: Game nights price increase
I'd just like a reason. The increase in hot streak costs was due to earning free rp every day.
But this makes no sense. Especially when it was at 100 originally it almost seems like a last minute decision for a money run.
And to make it worst, this year requires more points and the games are slower.

Re: Game nights price increase
Tbh, with the current price for GN's and the amount of points you need to finish the rttc its just stupid. Even if the respawn timer for GN's was 2minutes, it would still be quite a grind to get to shaq if you cant go through the last cards with +7 matches. Or if you feel like a superman, you could think of grinding losses. With these prices and points needed, no-one will be grinding losses for a card they need, which in my opinion was showing some true dedication in 2k15, grinding that 220 points for the last card in rttc by losses and spending about 3500 credits doing that(credits you could earn through AH if lucky enough.) This time, you would need to spend 15k credits, credits you can only get by using real money, to grind losses for shaq. so much for getting something with just grinding. Ca$hdaddy is real.Comment

Re: Game nights price increase
100 credits for a full refill is the right price. 200 is just too much IMHO
Seriously CD, I'm pouring a lot of money in the game and mostly I'm happy to do so cause I know this a business like any other. I enjoy the game, want to have top cards and can't grind 24/7 nor do I want to cheat then I "Pay to win". It's fine.
Nevertheless yoou have to set up fair prices for things you buy with credits. For example 3K credits pack for a chance a foil MVP+ some epic which gave HUGE head start seems decent (and I say that even if I'm 0/8 on those packs)
But 200 for a full refill, of 5 GN is too expensive. It's not like you guys give free credits this year so it's hard to justify this increase compared to last year!!!
Please consider bringing the GN refill down to 100 or 150 . Even with a LU which wins constantly +7 (14 with HS), if you sleep just al little, you have to spend around 50$/75$ to finish RttC. It is just too much.
I can't imagine how much people with a lower deck have to spend in order to make it...Last edited by Danab; 11-13-2015, 04:32 AM.Comment

I figured with my schedule if I had 15 Leg pros that it would cost me about 70k RP, $12, and 2 WC to get and pro Shaq. That is a high price to pay for a card that will get left out of the game 2 to 3 times in a 7 game series in season and that is training fodder in two months.Comment

Re: Game nights price increase
This is why I didn't play this RttC at all. I'd like to know how many people play these RttCs versus last years. It's like last year when they had the first RttC to difficult and dialed it back. It took them a couple tries to get it right, then RttC was the best event by far.
Why not just do it like last year? By trying to "improve" it, they destroyed it. They actually expect me to spend a bunch of money to get a card that I don't need?
I played a few games of RttC to get fodder quickly.Comment

Re: Game nights price increase
Yup RTTC is a joke and I really hope not too many people allowed themselves to be fleeced by CD. I did the math and gave up hope immediately. As a man with a wife, 3 kids and a full time job I'm not going to deprive myself of sleep for a game. And on top of that even if I wanted to I would have STILL needed to drop cash to get to Shaq. I too I understand the business perspective and I'm ok with having to put some money down in order to get a full nights sleep and handle my responsibilities. I'm just saying it should be possible to get the top reward with dedication and by grinding. I'm not saying 100% of the players should get Shaq nor am I saying it should be a cakewalk but it should not require cash.

Re: Game nights price increase
yup, i basically played +2's most of the time just to make it easy to play without paying much attention and tried to grind out some resets...so far i've gotten maybe 3 epics and a leg with a ton of UR...definitely more useful then if i tried to grind all the way to "possibly" get something worthwhile
it's weird that this year RC is more beneficial than RTTC...i'd much prefer to play events on my own time than having to compete with everyone else in game to reach a particular rank for a reward i wantComment
