Open petition to change the human verification system

The system is totally messed up and becoming a nuisance for those of us who grind grind grind. To have this pop up every 10-15 games is unnecessary and hurting the game. One cannot simply click away anymore without staring at the screen constantly to make sure they don't get cheated out of their account. Numerous people are being falsely banned, some of which who have spent a good amount of money in the game. CD seems not to care about customer service in this regard because they have not addressed the issue. I am a paying customer and am actually scared to play rapidly because one or two more wrong clicks and I could lose my Account which I have invested so much time and money into. This letter serves as a petition to change the system so one click will not penalize a person. The goal is to catch bots yet it seems humans are going down harder. It is better to let one guilty man walk than imprison 100 innocent. This system is reverse because they would rather catch the bad guy at the expense of 100 innocent.

By signing this petition you agree to not spend any more money and significantly less time until the verification system changes or you just support that it need to be changed.

I also do dont look screen and still tap sometimes while watching tv etc BUT,
If bot coders cant find to bypass it, I m willing to take risks of accidently mistap and get banned.

If they somehow bypass it make it change varification code cat dady.

I know one of my guys paid that bot to get all fancy cards on rc and rttc with cheating and finally get banned after this verification system and now bastard crying on other forum, crying on emails to cat dady about it was mistake and never cheated.

then when they dont answer his emails he get mad and now playing paying customer card.

he is trying to convince them by saying he will pay more to packs if they unban him because he is paying customer.

if cat dady ever do something like that I will never play this game again.

EDIT : Guys I m not saying everybody banned is a cheater. I m saying, I know I can get banned when mistapped too but if this is to stop bot cheaters I m ok with it. Please dont misunderstand, if anybody get banned without cheating I hope CD check and correct it quickly.
And if bot coders already beat this varification like CedricFP said, then I have question for CD. Why are you using same varification ?

Much as you're entitled to your opinion, the facts are that tons of legitimate players who have spent time and money on this game have gotten banned because of this system. Saying that everyone who has been inexplicably banned and accused of cheating/botting without doing so is 'playing the I paid "card"' and are guaranteed cheaters is a bit silly IMO.

If you read the initial post again It doesn't say let cheating happen it asks CD to stop punishing those who don't and haven't cheated because of CD's reluctance to accept that this system is faulty! at the very least a 'confirm selection' prompt should exist.

Whole Heartedly agree that CD should bring about some changes in;
1) The verification system and their approach to banning accounts
2) Their customer service and transparency in communication.

Just as a FYI, bot coders cracked the new verification within hours.

When you take that into consideration, it's even more ridiculous because the system punishes legit players more than bot players, since the bot will always automatically pick the right image...

Basically the only cheaters this new system really affects are the amateur-hour coders.

Edit: Though I do agree with qedd that the person having a grand old cry on the other forum because he got caught botting is ridiculous. He's so disconnected he manages to convince himself -- and others -- that he's the victim.

Like he didn't screw a legit player out of a reward card...

I agree with OP. This new verification system isn't punishing many botters but rather many legit players. Face it. CD wants to brag about how their anti cheat "tech" will never catch a human and always catches bots. Just read Nwgamedad's responses to the numerous complaints on these forums and twitter. He never admits the verification system is producing false positive bans. He is so out of touch with his own game. It's ridiculous. I challenge anyone at CD to legitimately attempt to finish in top 100 and see how their anticheat tech is more Nuisance ware than a real way to catch real botters. It may stop simple macro cheats, but it won't stop most of the real scriptwriters, the ones at the top. These scriptwriters will outsmart most anything thrown at them.
I agree there needs to be a confirmation window after image is selected minimally. But, also, there should never be auto bans without real human investigation. If a verification is failed, an auto warning should be generated and the account marked for customer service to investigate before a ban is issued.

i don't mind the actual verification system, but do mind how frequently it pops up and when it pops up. For example, I just finished playing a RC game and wanted to change my lineup, right when i click on a card the verification thing pops up and it clicks the wrong picture. This happened to me twice in the same sitting. Yeah i should have been more careful, but the thing shouldn't be popping up unless i pick an opponent. I also dont understand why it sometimes pops up when i first open the app and about to play my first game. The system needs some tweaking asap.

My two (LONG) cents, I'm sure CD is doing their due-diligence with their systems with feedback from internet forum/twitter communities and directly through their in-app communications. I wouldn't be surprised if more verification changes are in tap once everyone's in office Monday as another update is due to roll out with new tier soon (between Monday and All-Star weekend).

Whether or not my main account was reinstated, my position is the same -- CD has a tough job closing the loopholes the botters take advantage of while taking into consideration for general human error due to the type of gameplay this app promotes (a lot of fast, mostly mindless tapping in between on team maintenance activities). I was never going to go all out and flame the company for losing my access to the game -- even if I lost the $100 that I dropped into the app as my donation to the company. I'd rather save my time and energy and just stop playing the game (alt account was going to last two weeks max on light grinding and maybe beyond just to see weekly events to update forum threads if I felt like it) and find some other game (or better yet, something more productive and rewarding) to do.

And last point, I take some of the things Danan and Brad say in public with a grain of salt because they are the face of the company in the world. So in general, PR speak is sometimes used, and they are the sacrificial messengers to their own benefit or detriment. I can only imagine how much 2K has invested into CD, and how much CD has budgeted for this year's app along with running profits in order to just function and give us the best experience with servers and support staff. Trying to keep legitimate payers and free players happy for a free-to-download app when it costs money to even run the game (and there's no guarantee for users to spend money) is a tough gig.

Half the time I had the images they weren't even on the screen.... but whatever, still don't miss this game.

I was banned before the current verification system. with false accusations of cheating and a horrible support of course.
@qedd: you will also get banned at some point. and will change your mind then.
@cameagle: you were just lucky that your ban was lifted. I never got any response from cat daddy

you're not going to get a perfect system like this, so there needs to be a balance between what can stop illegitimate players and what causes problems for legit players.

personally i'd love to see a confirm button at the bottom of the screen after you select your image. that'd probably be enough. 2 taps instead of one. gives people who are just blinding tapping away possibly enough time to realize there's a verification going on.

edit: and maybe i'm a lot slower than you all but i've only had the verification system pop up twice since it the new one was implemented.

I believe there should be a better verification system, one less prone to accidental taps. I'll support this position, though I had already decided not to spend a dime once I saw the RS pack chances of others.

Would be very glad to sign this petition. I have played all three games for countlles houres and managed to get a nice line up based on hard work. Now to lose this because some one is starting a cruisade against cheaters is unfair. I like the idea behind the whole thing to stop the cheaters but like in real life justice only ban with solid proof! I never cheated in one of the games and like said and this is my thx? Ok, i never spend real money but that's my opinion. And to the guys here who say the system is ok, wait until next time when it is your turn! We will see how happy you will be!

I will sign as well. I think a simple conformation button would do the trick. Or a warning screen when you tap the wrong image. The Verifying Answer returns a new set of images too quickly for those who aren't paying 100% attention to the screen.
