While it's true that the top 2 or 3 rows are mostly identical for users who participate in events at a high level, it may be a nice way to see what everyone has going into Star tier... I'm sure there are those with foil RS and Skybox cards that fill out the roster... I'll post mine Monday as a log in the myNBA2k16 history books -- did miss out on Christmas RttC and sold all auctionable cards so I'll have some regular legendary pros in the ranks...

You should really sell those leg pros that are auctionable before star is out. No point in having more than 15.

Sat out Iguodala and Mutombo RCs along with being banned during Christmas RttC. Won 4 of 8 Legendary finals before RS prize and 1 of 3 afterwards. All cards you see are unauctionable, and there are a few more Leg pros that didn't make the cut.

15 of your top 25 were given out as event rewards. Shows how little variety is possible now a days in this game.

Someone could only play events and have a top tier lu of

Christmas curry, Paul, Irving

Rttc wade, rc Jordan, rttc Jordan

Rttc Lbj, rookie rttc bird, rc iggy

Rc kg, rc griffin, Christmas rttc Duncan

Rc mutombo/shaq/kareem, rookie star Kareem

Very few players can be replaced by unique cards. Spending money or grinding religiously used to give a boost or even the best event grinders. Now having a unique deck means having an inferior deck. The shelf life on every sub tier released so far has been abysmal to the point of worthlessness. How will star tier fare? Immediately there has to be a hof/all star sub tier for packs/seasons. Rival clash and rttc will obv trump all others but how long until they realize they need more sales and subsequently add more sub tiers to nerf current decks?

Is the best strategy proing only event cards to prepare for playoff tier? Is there even a point to pro any regular/mvp star cards knowing they'll only give you an advantage to win more of those same cards? Eventually events will fill your entire lu and you'll be left with dozens of wasted wild cards/star contracts.

Only proing event cards is pretty much the way to go it seems. I've wasted so many wild cards on MVPs and normal LEGs and they became useless very quickly. Even the first set of event cards are now useless. Pretty much every season I go in is just a 50-50 because everyone has the same deck it's so boring.

Considering that the app has a competitive shelf-life (with events during NBA season) of at-most 40 weeks, each sub-tier card probably only has a shelf life of 2-4 weeks as the strongest level... which should help you in 3-5 seasons and a couple of RttC... this really keeps everything in perspective and could alter some strategies moving forward for those with a really strong top 15+ going into Star tier...

Chances are they won't be be able to totally overhaul seasons this year... and I wonder what ideas CD has for future years to keep their cashcow milkable... the community, simple-yet-addictive collecting-and-RPGish gameplay, and NBA license are the main draws... how many years can they really repeat the same formula?... then again, the main console/PC games have the same issue outside of improving graphics and gameplay AI+physics annually...

I have the same exact feeling. I have won my last season 3 weeks ago and waiting since then for star Tier to pick up the reward...

If CD doesn't step up and make star tier better (meaning hardER RttC, with only ONE good card and meaningful RC structure I'll be out of this app)

Agreed. The difference with the console game is the changing in AI modifies the whole experience/ game play. They also did a hell of a job to make the online mode more stable and fun this year.

Not to mention that playing instead of tapping a screen is a very different feeling in itself...

The reason I said this thread don't matter is your top 15 is more important than your top 25. I'd be more interested to see what people's top 15 is so in I'd know what I'm competing against in season. But unfortunately 80% of people's top 15 are the same due to overflow of RTTC cards. Posting your top 25 these days does nothing more than telling people hey I finally got 25 leg pros!

That's my rant on top 25's.
