CD SPEAKS: Feb 13 Exploit Resolution

On Saturday, February 13, we discovered an issue in MyNBA2K16 that a small number of players exploited to gain massive amounts of All-Star packs and cards.

To preserve the integrity of competition and to protect the overall game experience across events and Seasons, players who took advantage of this exploit will soon find their MyCards returned to a state that closely resembles their composition prior to use of the exploit.

    "closely resemble" is worrying.

If CD are going to "undo" this selectively, they have to make sure the decks exactly resemble.

      My thoughts:

I think it's amusing how they stated a "small" number of people did it - yet every season + QG team has endless stars.

And yes I 100% agree - closely? What if someone pro'd a legit star with a exploited one? What would happen then?

This makes me think that they're going to roll back decks to what they looked like on Saturday while keeping what you've won in the RC. Meaning that any resets or season rewards picked up since then could be gone as well.

The use of the word exploited here is worrisome... passing the blame to the users for legal reasons instead of taking blame for their own error.

          This piece was expected

that closely resembles their composition prior to use of the exploit.
So they are going one by one then? ok, as long as they don't leave players dry (meaning they give back trained cards etc.) if they take cards away.

why would we need to submit a ticket to get more info? Just tell us what you're doing.

I did not open like other people who opened 50 stars but please refund my 3 WC and 3 Star Contracts if you want to rollback my account. This **** is serious. If not I will go refund from Apple.

So this says players who took advantage will soon find their cards returned to previous state. Does that mean if i didn't do the exploit my deck will remain untouched? I will be very upset if they roll back users that didn't do the exploit

If you didn't purchase the All-Star Pack during the -100% exploit, then your account will not be touched. We are not doing a general roll back of the entire game.

Would you comment on whether or not you have the ability (backups, redundancy etc.) to do a general roll back?

why the use of the word exploit when the pack was clearly 100% off?

seems like there are better words to describe what happened...

what will happen to our WC and SC that are used to pro the "free cards"? and what will happen to our current season when these cards are being played?

True that, "our mistake" sounds way better.

What will happen with player decks that are within a season? I'm thinking about starting a season but I don't know that I should.

I didn't take advantage of the free AS cards, but I don't want to start a season and it gets messed up due to the fix.

For legal reasons, obviously. Because it's clearly the players' fault.

Will any Wild Cards used be refunded?
